I'm told that NYCC do have something already lined up to replace the 81 between Great Ayton and Guisborough and need Arriva to run this until end of August to get it all in place.

I don't know when the NYCC school contracts come in to play or if it is merely a coincidence that they go back days after the ANE 81 stops running.
I did wonder why the end of August was the date agreed to extend the 81.

Can't think of anything they run with their own fleet locally though, all of the minibuses into Stokesley are run by Coatham for example. The nearest would probably be Northallerton?
Is there timetables and routes avaible somewhere with the new changes on Teesside. Was very confused on the 62 route

Here is the new map of services for Redcar taken from the new timetable leaflet for the X4 which was released when the changes were initially announced:

Timetables for all services in Redcar and Cleveland from 28th June can be found in this document:

Arriva back to more-or-less normal from this weekend
https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/coronavirus/...orth-east/
Of note:
Stockton’s 8 remains every 10 minutes on weekdays (down from every 8)
The X5 is not reinstated - a new earlier journey on the 5A from Guisborough to Middlesbrough is instead added
Darlington introduce new service 2A - a variation of the present 2 - to serve the Amazon site bear Lingfield Point. These run every 10 minutes at shift Change times

Similarly, the 6 from Durham to Cockfield is every 15 minutes as opposed to every 12, while the 3/3A from Darlington to Skerne Park are every 20 minutes as opposed to every 10. I wonder if these few stragglers that are yet to return to their pre-corona frequency might actually be more permanent?
I'm told a further 100% position is planned for 30 August (including reinstatement of evening service frequencies too) ready for schools going back.
OK so not the right thread but what happened to "Brand Delivery?" Why remove a thread and posts without explanation ?
Well, we're 4 days into the latest round of changes etc, so it seems as if we have the following work patterns developing:
Durham
57/57a continue to interwork with the 49/49a - 57a out of Durham and 57 return from Hartlepool works onto 49s while 57s out of Durham and 57As return from Hartlepool work onto 49As
Darlington
2As appear to be as followed:
[b]Sunday[/u]: The early trips are on the front of a 1/5/7 board (0629 and 0659 Northgate to Amazon and 0728/0758 from Amazon back, dropping onto the 0815 7), a X21/X26/X66 board (0619 and 0649 Northgate to Amazon, 0718/0748 return, then light to Richmond to work the first X26 into Darlington) and a 2 board (the remaining trips - starts on 2s at Branksome at 0842).
The afternoon extra trips are additional boards, as are the late evening trips
[b]Weekdays[/u]: The late evening trips from the town at 2214 and 2244 work off the last X75 from Barnard Castle, which now appears to be on the back of a 1 board - which then works the 2319 and 2349 return trips. The 2224 and 2254 trips from the town and the 2339 return appear to be an extra board which runs light from the depot and can throw up anything
While the 3s are still on the limited timetable, 19s remain standalone using 2 Solos which get 15 minute layovers in the town centre on every trip.

The 2224 and 2254 run off a X66 board and will also be the late staff bus driver as well, as they do 2 X66’s which does the 2025 from Boro to faverdale, have roughly 45 minutes off to then do 2 shuttles then late staff, but as you said it can throw up anything

While nothing is currently on the Arriva Website, the App is now showing the revised times from 30th August and restoration of full service of the planned April changes plus the new additional evening journeys on 29, X4A and X66 - as well as the restoration of frequency on Stockton's 8, Darlington's 3/3A, Durham's 6 and 43 and the evening frequencies on Stockton's 15, Redcar's 63 (and re-introduction of a standardised timetable on the evening 64As) and the 306/308.

More journeys on the X66 how is that going to work?

2025 ex-Middlesbrough cut back from Faverdale to Tubwell Row
New journeys from Darlington at 2125 and 2225 (Stockton will be working the 2225)
New journeys from Middlesbrough at 2125 (Stockton-worked, terminate at Tubwell Row) and 2225 (to Faverdale)
Timetables are now available on the soon-to-be-replaced website by visiting each service's page and going to the drop down box.
One change not yet mentioned anywhere is the change of route to Middlesbrough's 9 - which will now operate between the Bus Station and North Ormesby Market Place in both direction via Wilson Street, Albert Road, Corporation Road, Marton Road and Borough Road (i.e. the same route as Stagecoach's 39).
Does anyone know if the X5 will be returning, or has it been cancelled permanently again?

It’s returning

Thanks. It's a useful service to get into Middlesbrough more quickly on a morning
What is happening on the X93 now? Are the journeys through to Middlesbrough reinstated as a direct route, or are passengers still meant to change in Guisbrough onto the 5 at certain times?? Can’t see this working when the schools return.

The X93 has been a through service all year. It’s split at Guisborough and Whitby for ease of driver operation.
There’s never been a point where passengers have had to travel on a 5 to Guisborough and change to the X93.
What’s this all about then? Using the travel planner for the first trip of the day 7.23am from Whitby to Middlesbrough on Tuesday this week...

The new Arriva website is a bit dodgy I wouldn't trust it atm. Guess it's just reporting wrong; not sure why mind. Some of the timetables are just unreadable atm all the Blyth Expresses in particular.
Not sure who designed it tbh, but it's pretty bad.

Journey planners can't deal with 'through' routes and 'same bus' connections - so it won't see that the same bus runs through to Middlesbrough and you can stay on, it'll recommend maybe 5 mins to connect between buses in Guisborough - at which point the X93 has gone - so it'll put you on the next 5. It just needs it to be 'linked' as one service in the background. Traveline offers this through journey opportunity for example.
I tend to use Bustimes for timetables but even that isn't 100% foolproof.

I find the new look website totally inept tbh, only showing certain journeys on NE timetables and journey planner, horrible to navigate especially the timetable page.
The journey planner has never been able to manage through journeys on services.
I too use BusTimes usually however Arriva North East's times still seem to be registering with previous temporary timetables with the Traveline data at present so it's a case of looking at temp timetable PDF I have saved and Arriva app and hope it's still correct [emoji1696]

At least they have the ability to search for a timetable by route number, something which the GNE website lacks!
Having said that, the website looks like utter shite. What is it with having everything bright white. I really like the bright colours that GNE use on theirs, whereas Arriva just have the odd bit of purple and light blue.
The map for the 6 is also super helpful, I can clearly see which way the bus goes...
Having had a quick look around the app, it seems alright, but they got rid of one of my favourite features, it no longer says '+3' next to the time it's supposed to arrive when it's running 3 minutes late, they've changed to the 'how many minutes until it arrives' model, while I think it's better from a passenger perspective, it covers up the fact it's running late. At least once you tap on the service it still shows the timetabled time crossed out unlike GNE's where it just changes to the estimated time.
They still haven't added fleet numbers though so I can't tell in advance what piece of crap is about to turn up, that's one feature I love about GNE's. If there's an Omnidekka running on the X21, I know I've got an extra half an hour!

Following the reversion to normal pre-Covid (or pre-planned amendments) coupled with the closure of New Elvert Bridge means there's been changes to the Durham interworking patterns:
Pre-Covid, the 57/57a interworked with the 43
The 43 is now once again entirely stand-alone
The 3 57 boards which leave Durham as 57s and return from Hartlepool as 57a (currently leaving Durham 3 minutes earlier than previous at xx27 and arriving back at the same time) now work onto the xx35 49 to Brandon. In contrast, the 3 boards which work the 57a out of Durham and return from Hartlepool as 57s now work onto the xx05 49a to Brandon.
As part of the minor timing changes to the routes operating out to Coxhoe (the 56/57/57a are leaving Durham Bus Station 3 minutes earlier than the pre-Covid timetables, the X12 is leaving Middlesbrough Bus Station 3 minutes earlier and running 3 minutes earlier to the Science Site, likewise outbound they are leaving Durham at the normal time but running 3 minutes later from the Science Site to Middlesbrough), the 56 is also now interworking with the 49/49a - journeys which don't connect in Bishop Auckland onto the 86 work onto the 49As at xx45 and xx25, the ones that do work to Toft Hill as 86s work the xx15 and xx55 49s.
One additional change is the last X4a from Middlesbrough to Easington at 2240 now works off the last 64a in from Grangetown, with the X4a arrival from Whitby at 2231 now working the 2240 63 to Redcar.

Does anybody happen to know what the evening service 6 journey to Barnard Castle works off? It doesn't track on bustimes so haven't had any luck in figuring it out! Thanks in advance
