Having checked on VOSA:

X12 is a revised timetable with a change of route on the Durham to Newcastle section
7/7a will see the introduction of a Friday only timetable and a revised one at other times
62/62a is a few minor changes to early evening times
81 is changes to some early morning journeys
There is no change to the S1 however the S2 is withdrawn

Thanks for the additional information.

Seems odd having a Monday-Thursday timetable and then a Friday one.

It goes to Yarm - which is a traffic nightmare at the best of times. Friday is sometimes 10x worse. Hence why it currently has a PVR of 7 during the Friday daytime to give an extra 10 minutes layover in Stockton on paper, in reality that extra 10 minutes is extra running time.

You need it on 7s. They already have an extra bus employed on a Friday to try to improve punctuality. Friday is the worst day for Yarm traffic. Took me 15 mins from Tesco to the town hall on 88s on Friday just gone. You could walk it faster!
Oh right, as you can tell i don't venture out of Sunderland much haha

Do you know what the new route is between Durham and Newcastle for the X12?

The CSV doesn't give anything away sadly. Apart from, rather interestingly, it seems the 555 is being reduced from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes.

To assist in the timekeeping of the service maybe?

It basically runs half hourly if you take into account the time it sits on Benton Park Road.

Wonder if X12 will drop some of its Birtley and Harlow Green stops. One thing I did note is that when High St was closed the diversion via Prince Consort Rd to Shipcote was far far quicker, the X21 sometimes runs this way

From what I've heard so far, the only route change to the X12 is in Newcastle - but nothing more than that so far.

I wish they would make it stop on Newgate Street, it's a pain walking to Eldon Square or the stop after that. I still feel it was a mistake having it no longer stop at Plawsworth, as it often used to pick up passengers there (and the interior branding would be correct if Plawsworth was still served).

I wonder if they'd fancy a move to Haymarket? Route in and out via Percy St and St Mary's Place.

Knowing Arriva it'll be something mental like running via Askew and the Redheugh

There's so many pinch points in Newcastle these days that any route change or additional stop will add running time
There will be some changes made in relation to the 5 week Killingworth Road closure this summer. Stagecoach's 18 and X63 have also had changes registered in the last week.

The 555 is going from the Regent Centre also unless it already does?

The 555 is the dedicated Quorum shuttle for Four Lane Ends, I think you are thinking of the 553 or GNE 554?

On Michael's post on the other page it's got 555 Regent Centre to Quorum Business Park. So they might be extending the 555 to Regent Centre

The 555 runs between Four Lane Ends and Quorum only.

The 553 serves the Regent Centre, Running Regent Centre - Battle Hill/Wallsend Bus Station, |Funny thing about the 553 is the 06:33 off Regent Centre was a regular haunt of 2601, Which of course is allocated to the 6, And 2601 would be on the 6 later in the day, So I'm guessing this is a scheduled Rare Working that no one knows about.
Used to pass it every morning on Benfield Road while going to Work Experience.

2601 used to do the afternoon runs on the 553 on a Saturday (and guessing Monday-Friday too) when it went to Regent Centre at peak times only, but not sure if it still does afternoon runs now if the PVR stays the same.
I wonder if the 555 change is linked to the Killingworth closure. Metro to Regent then 555 direct to Quorum through hack of Gosforth (no point serving 4LE if no metro and existing buses pickup loads - K1, 62, 52.

Arriva and Stagecoach are attending a special event at Quorum on 13th June to reveal their plans.

I know it does, I'm just saying that Arriva have on the registration Regent Centre to Quorum Business Park. I think that might be because the first journey runs from the Regent Centre.

Just say 'No'.
If its registered its obviously 'public'.

From what I have collated, the route change in Newcastle is quite small and will be to use John Dobson Street, St Marys Place and Percy Street instead of Blackett Street to get to Eldon Square. Not sure if the southbound direction route has changed, although you cannot get any more direct to Gateshead than the route they run now.

I can understand this, as the Monument does get very busy at times.

Rumours that Blackett St will be fully pedestrianised in the future too.

Those rumours have been going for years. Written off as too expensive to implement in years gone by.
The times for the July Changes are now showing on the app and on the website:

7/7a
Friday after 1200, the 7 will operate every 12 minutes until 1700
Weekday Peak Time reduced to every 12 minutes at 1600 from both ends of the routes.
After 1800, the timetable is completely revised:
The 7a is retimed to run at xx05 from Stockton every hour, the first being 1805
As such, the 1815 7 from Stockton is withdrawn
This change means the last return journey from Yarm to Stockton leaves The Meadowings at 2230 rather than 2213, giving people a extra 15 minutes in Yarm
Sunday Journeys are also retimed, with a new later departure from Stockton at 1905 which will terminate at Willey Flatts at 1935 (currently the 1848 returns to Stockton)

62
The 1719 (1714 Saturday) from New Marske is extended from Dormanstown to Middlesbrough

81/81a
The pre-0900 timetable is amended to meet demand
The route of the Sunday 81a is revised in Guisborough to operate via New Road and Rectory Lane between the Market Place and Hutton Lane rather than direct via Westgate

X12
Extra running time given between Durham and Newcastle (running time increased from 53 to 55 minutes), more at peak times
Timing changes out of Middlesbrough on a weekday afternoon as well:
The 1535 to Newcastle will now depart at 1540
The 1610 to Newcastle will now depart at 1615
The 1640 to Newcastle will now depart at 1650
The 1710 to Chester-le-Street will now depart at 1720
The 1740 to Durham (connect for Newcastle) will now depart at 1750

The 1935 from Durham to Middlesbrough (1930 Saturday) is withdrawn.
The Weekday Afternoon Peak departure from Durham at 1715 will start at Framwellgate Moor at 1709 (leaving Durham Bus Station at 1720)

The Saturday Afternoon timetable remains as now, however the 1710 from Middlesbrough will terminate at Durham rather than continuing to Chester-le-Street. The 0635 from Middlesbrough to Durham is also withdrawn.
