Will serve New Marske between Ings Farm and Marske
Arriva 57/57A/58 has anyone got any information about the changes to route and times.
I’ve heard that the new 58 is diverting via Hurworth Burn eg Hartlepool, Hurworth Burn, Trimdons, Wingate then original 58 Route to Durham adding about 20mins to the journey times.

The changes are revised timetables, mainly morning and afternoon. No changes to the 58 route on a night.

Teesside & East Cleveland changes above.

Changes in Northumberland plus Tyne & Wear here: https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/north-east/u...pril-2020/

Durham & Darlington changes not up yet but don't think much is changing apart from the Sapphire 7 will only serve Durham Gate at peak times on weekdays and some X26s being extended to Faverdale, pretty much just evenings I think?

X93/X94 summer timetable not uploaded yet but looks to be much the same as in previous years except one trip an hour now running as X94 via A165 & Pensholm Park, X94s are mostly the short runs to/from Whitby.

Not all the timetables for the Teesside changes are online yet either - the X4/X4A timetable isn't. Times are however on the app - the 1840 from Middlesbrough to Whitby will be the first X4A from Middlesbrough (and the only journey to Whitby), the 1940 onwards terminate at Easington until 2240. All journeys from Whitby after half 5 run as X4As - times are changed so evening departures from Whitby are 1738, 1838, 1943 and 2043. The only journey from Easington is 2214 to Dormanstown. On Sundays, journeys from Middlesbrough are retimed to leave at 40 minutes past (currently xx45) and from Whitby at xx37 (currently xx43) with the first X4As being 1840 from Middlesbrough (as per weekdays) and 1737 from Whitby (effectively as per weekdays). Sunday Evening journeys on X4A only operate between Middlesbrough and Saltburn (to avoid any increase in the PVR - the Sunday evening workings requires 2 buses, Redcar's PVR on the X4 during the day).

As for the X94, all X94s are the summer-only trips - and from the app (but not Bus Times - which only shows the service as running Whitby to Scarborough) they run as X94s to and from Middlesbrough on an evening/morning. The last trip from Scarborough is the 1830, arriving into Middlesbrough at 2043.
If they're re-introducing a journey at 22:41 from Blyth to Cramlington, would they not be better off doing the following:

- Last 44(45) re-timed to depart at 2324 (still 2334 Sundays).

- 2241 X10 from Blyth extended to Newcastle Mon-Sat.

- Last X10 from Newcastle revised to depart at 2339 Mon - Sat and runs as service E10 via Wideopen & Dudley before continuing X10 route to Blyth.

Will the 5th April changes be coming in or postponed like Stagecoach's?
If not will need another lot of emergency timetables coming in from then.

Planned changes for County Durham, Teesside & East Cleveland from April 5th have now been postponed until a currently undetermined date.
Wonder if they'll go back to the old regular timetables or straight from the special timetables to the new.

I can't see this happening anytime soon even if of the restrictions are lifted I don't think many people will be using it this year.

I think it'll be the opposite, we may be restricted on overseas movement for a while so people may well holiday/day trip in the UK more so resorts such as Whitby could be very popular this year.

Depends on how long we in lockdown for and how much of the restrictions are lifted.
I fear people will not want to pile onto a bus and will stick to their private cars even if it costs them more to park.

People in financial trouble may not have the option to use their car anymore, who knows.

Understand the April Changes will now come into full effect from 28th June - some of the Teesside changes, mainly the minor ones for Stockton's 5, 7/7a and 8, have been in effect since 31st May.

There currently running to a increased timetable with duplicates at the minute, but I’m sure there will be more changes around then as a driver that I know said there getting a new rota On the 28th June and said that around 90/95% of drivers will be back, even if it’s 90% it’s still an increase to what it is now

Does anybody have exact details of the changes to the 5, 7/7a and 8? I can't recall from the original release how these services were 'going to be' altered

Thanks, Peter

Thanks, Peter

5: Minor timing changes at peak on both morning and afternoon. Middlesbrough Town Hall timing point removed

7/7a: Morning and Afternoon peak timings revised. 1805 7a from Stockton and 1832 from Willey Flatts both slightly retimed, with the 1832 now running at 1838. No other changes.

8: Middlesbrough Town Hall and Marshall Avenue toning points removed.
The 81 to Stokesley has been saved, temporarily, I'm told. Watch this space for further news on that.

Yes, it will continue to operate until the 29th August as mentioned on this page detailing the changes being rescheduled to the 28th June here

Timetable now available on the Arriva website: https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/north-east/services/81s---stokesley-to-guisborough/?date=200628

Looking at the timetable:
Working to 1 bus 1 driver with a break in Guisborough
First departure is 0920 from Guisborough and 0947 from Stokesley
No 1320 from Guisborough or 1347 from Stokesley
Last trip 1720 from Guisborough, 1747 from Stokesley
From the 28th June

The X8 and X9 will both run every 30 minutes between Blyth and Newcastle for the morning peak but will then run hourly between Blyth and Newcastle but every 30 minutes between Cramlington and Newcastle.

X8 timetable: https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/GetTimetable...628-200916

X9 timetable: https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/GetTimetable...628-200916

It looks like a X8 to Cramlington goes onto an X9 to Newcastle and the X9 to Cramlington goes onto an X8 back to Newcastle.

There's more to it than that by the looks of it.

As the X7 and X8 are swapping at Newcastle and the X8 and X9 are swapping at Blyth aswell. So it's just normal rota bar it's been shortened at Cramlington for both of them.

I wonder if NYCC intend on funding for the 81 to continue beyond Arriva's operation until the 29th August? If so I think an extension of Abbot's of Leeming service 80/89 from Northallerton to Stokesley up to Guisborough could be a good move.

That's funny, I've just had a good planning session and looked at that exact scenario.
