Around 22:45 last night at Seaburn, A Man was struck by Train 112 heading towards South Hylton, There's a few news articles around. Thoughts are with his Family.

Service was suspended for the rest of the evening with some trains not getting back to Pelaw ( Including the fateful train ) Until 1:00am, I presume most units were stabled there for the evening.

Freaky to think I was on the same metrocar only a few hours before.

Where'd the flooding come from? I haven't noticed much rain recently... a complete lack of it!

Not a good day for the folk of Sunderland travelling home tonight, with long tailbacks on the A1231 and A19 due to a Sunderland Council bin wagon breaking down in the middle lane on the A19/A1231 roundabout.  Undecided

Vicious circle. From my point of view, the bullet has to be bitten as if more and more failures occur, public trust into the system will be withdrawn further and nobody will be there to travel, and therefore pay for, the new fleet...!
