Are the rest of the underground stations on the network being left now?

Don't know they seem to be more focused on track and overhead wire replacement which is probably more important
Fair point, was just wondering cus it seems to gone quiet on that front
There is an article on the Metro in October's Tramways & Urban Transit magazine. On page 384, Martin Kearney comments on a planned 2-week blockade in the city centre next year in addition to weekend blockades. Does anyone know when this will be? I reckon it could be the school summer holidays but that's just my guess.
No,your right, normally they like to have their blockades in the summer holidays judging by past times
A decision on Metro fares in 2021 has been put on hold to allow for further talks with the Government over a Recovery Plan for the network.

The annual fare review has been deferred so that Metro operator, Nexus, has more time to develop and agree a Recovery Plan with the Department for Transport, which will include an agreed approach to future fare changes.

The fare proposals for Metro and the Shields Ferry will now be heard on 19 January, with any proposed changes not taking effect until 1 April, councillors agreed today, Thursday 5 November.

That's a shocking cut in service that.

So I dare bet they also have to pay a fraction in metrep tenders as a result of this.
It's amazing the amount of critisism Arriva used to get when they used to run the Metro from local media yet nowadays Nexus just get away with it. The service was bad under Arriva (DB Regio) but by god was it nowhere near the level that it's at now. Notice Nexus have the usual excuses blaming Covid this time but it's been a problem long before the pandemic, nothing to do with bad management and everyone leaving for National Rail where the wage and working conditions are better. Genuinely worried about public transport up here now that the prat Tobyn Hughes has been promoted and is in charge of Transport North East. A massive shakeup up here is badly needed at the top but it's not going to happen when Tobyn, Forbes and their mates are in control of everything.
Like the shite GNE have done to their services, says alot when Stagecoach are prepared to try new services, like the 1 and 22 to The Cobalt, and Arriva, well theyve been a lost cause for years
I agree , GNE must be the ‘butchers’ of the bus network. Forever changing their routes and timetables for the worse. I realise this post should probably live under the GnE page.
It probably should, but we would only get yelled at
Richard Holden MP for Consett is tweeting: "The Chancellor of the Exchequer, today announced that the feasibility study for new link between Consett and The Tyne has got the go ahead!"

Wonder how this wil affect GNE services (X lines etc...) and possible extension of Tyne & Wear Metro ad zone pricing to the wider area?

Quite a big blockade planned for 2022.
Have they announced what British Rail class the new metro trains will be?

No, probably be much nearer to the time if they are to receive one.
Reduced Metro timetable expected to remain in place until March next year due to driver shortage
