We often get woken up on any of the buses serving that route or other routes with fast stretches by something randomly either opening or shutting.

The 9 we caught yesterday had a window that wouldn't open - just behind the exit doors. That annoyed big'un no end until I pointed out that he wouldn't want it open in the tunnel, anyhow, because of the noise and fumes.
Having the feeling that despite having a partner and also lots of friends, that you still feel that you are alone.
(09 Aug 2015, 12:57 pm)aureolin wrote [ -> ]I've done it loads of times. If someone slams the window shut, to the point of making you jump, then they obviously haven't the manners or common sense to consider others.

Once I've reopened a window, I've only ever had one woman say "I've just shut that". To which I pointed out that I've just opened it.

I'm the same. I always just say I've got no change, but don't mind going and buying them a McDonalds, Greggs or wherever is nearby. 9 times out of 10 this will be refused though bizarrely.

That's brilliant. At least I have something to say back to the self-indulgent morons. Smile
Several posts made today have been removed. Couple of reminders needed:

1. This thread isn't to be used to target other forum users.
2. Please avoid 'back seat moderating' - if you think a post is inappropriate or breaks the forum's rules, use the report facility.

The posts regarding the tragic incident which involved the death of a cyclist have also been removed. I've removed discussion relating to this incident three or four times now since the incident happened - another member of the forum has already made it clear that he does not want to read comments relating to the incident on this forum, given that the victim was a relative of his.

Any problems with the above, drop me a PM.
Service 7 is late which has made leaving the house this early for today's outing pretty pointless

You don't need to be there bang on 11? You have plenty of time.

Was hoping to get some photos in Durham this morning unfortunately the late 7, poor lighting conditions and a van parked just outside the bus station has ruined this.

So not a good start then.
I was also hoping to get some photos, but being required to go to work on a week-daily basis has ruined this. Smile

Why couldn't you have got the 21?

Wanted to get a few shots in Durham but that went wrong.

Now on the 265 to Dalton Park then I'm getting the 22 down to Peterlee. Oh joy the 265 has arrived in Murton in front of the 61 ugh, lack of space.

Could have got the 208 straight to Peterlee. Could have been a Solo.

Doubt you'd want to wait at Durham for that long.

First one from Durham is at 10:00, so I think the 265 then 22 is the best option.

I know. Thats why i said that im not sure whethe rhe would want to wait in Durham for that long. The bus probably would have been the Solo coming in on the 208 (as it would have done a 204 first).

Aye possibly, but it'll arrive in Peterlee for 11am so could have been a MPD?

Looks like the Solo Jimmi saw would have done this:

08:16 208 Peterlee to Durham (arriving 09:28)
09:32 204 Durham to Durham (arriving 10:35)
10:40 265 Durham - Seaham (arriving 11:36)
11:40 202 Seaham - Peterlee (arriving 12:28)
12:30 201 Peterlee - Peterlee (arriving 12:55)
etc

All seems a bit wild to me but the times seem to fit. 2 mins at Peterlee before going out on the 201 doesnt seem long enough.

Think it was actually a Solo as well. Oh well, there will be more opportunities today to ride the Solos and getting the 265 and 22 means I arrive in Peterlee in plenty of time.
I should catch the Solo Sr on the 265 to Seaham then as i'm currently at Hetton Le Hole interchange....

201 interworks with 209/210, 202/204/208/265 all interwork and 206 is stand alone.
Apologies if I offended anyone with my last post in this thread.

11:04am from Hetton-Le-Hole is a Solo SR will be in Seaham in around 30 minutes!.
IndiGo 656 has been in service for about an hour and some oik has dropped a can of Rockstar all over the floor with the can rolling around and my feet is plodding through the remains of its contents.

Oh, delightful. You'll be sticking to the floor when you get off
Getting stuck on 547 for 2 hours earlier!

Marcus probably gave them a look of disapproval, for daring to buy an energy drink in the first place. Smile

What exactly happened here? Glad I decided not to jump on that this afternoon judging by this post.

I had 547 on the 265 this morning.

We boarded 547 at Peterlee and rode it on the 202/265 and got stuck in traffic at Durham.

Well your nice we did make an enormous cockup we should of left 547 at Dalton Park to wait for the 265.

Well that's your own faults for staying on the 202/265 for that long.

I did warn everyone about the traffic coming into Durham and as ever everyone ignored my advice, including myself by riding the 208 for around 85 minutes, not doing that route again in a hurry!

I'm certainly not in a rush to do it again!
