Does anyone know what's actually been ordered for Stockton? I know there's the single decker Yutongs coming but I assume there must be some deckers due aswell if it's going 100% electric?
Haven't heard anything on them, if so.
Does anyone know what the deal is with 27736/27737/27738, are the now permanently at Slatyford or will they eventually be going back to Sunderland?
27727 now also at Slatyford from Sunderland alongside 27736/7/8

Seems to have been swapped yesterday for 27718
Currently there is a Stagecoach Yutong parked in Middlesbrough bus station

It just left

And then has somehow ended up on the X34, that's 2 fines within 2 days as 36964 was on there yesterday.

Wonder if its doing driver training, as its a Sunderland Yutong.

Yes, 73074 is currently being used for driver familiarisation at Stockton pending delivery of their own initial batch of 40. Might as well borrow one of Sunderland’s while their charging work is ongoing and they can’t make use of all of them - to make sure the Stockton staff are ready when they arrive so they can go straight into use once the charging points are ready.

People still seem to misunderstand the whole CAZ. Buses under a Euro 5 rating aren't just completely banned from the City Centre, they are allowed to enter under a charge, so not really a fine, more like an invisible toll booth if you will.
I just don't understand why people freak out when a below Euro 5 engine enters town. Stagecoach obviously have the money to spend and clearly don't care about a charge. In all honesty, £50 isn't that much when it comes to cars/buses either, it's not like the X34's are perminatley allocated E300s.
But on the topic of this, I thought 36964 was Euro 6, with it being used on the 317 a few years back.
I been reading on Cleveland transit page on tees valley fleet that stagecoach Stockton are getting 64 new Electric buses this years. Has seen it on this page.

Due you know when the charging work at Stockton is due to be completed and when there Yutong's once delivered are expected to start entering service?

No, the 63 plates E200s are Euro 5 which is why they were swapped with 37312/14-19 which are CAZ compliant (even thought they are also Euro 5 but newer and are exempt) as they frequently ended up being allocated to the 12s and 22s.
Who said I 'freaked out' I was only pointing out that it had happened twice in 2 days while there is compliant vehicles running around on the local Shields routes.

Am I right in thinking Stockton are receiving their first batch next month? Has anyone heard anything about the 262’s heading to Slatyford when they get these?
Are Slatyford also receiving all of Sunderland’s 277’s when their electrics enter service? They have 4 out now and gave 4 277’s to Slatyford.

Has it actually been confirmed that Slatyford are getting the E200MMC's?
I've never seen anything concrete saying that or I've missed it if it's been said.
Not sure what they really need them for since they're getting their own electrics soon which will displace the oldest singles out.
Sunderland seems the more wise choice on paper to replace the remaining gas buses. The routes they run on 3, 4, 20 etc are strong routes and the fact 4 of the E buses have moved out would suggest these aren't seeing the rest out.

I hoped the E200MMC's would come to Sunderland to replace the gas buses but I doubt it =(

I don’t think it has been confirmed about Slatyford getting the E200mmcs from Stockton just rumours I’m guessing. But myself being a driver at Slatyford I was told by engineers that the company want rid of the E300’s 271’s and 272’s from Newcastle as they’re only Euro 5 with Euro 6 exhausts and just scraping through the emission requirements for the clean air zone. Plus I was hoping something would replace them awful 241’s haha.
27726 is at Walkergate from Sunderland so I’m not sure what the plan is with Sunderland’s gas buses etc.

It's confirmed - that's what the staff at Stockton have been told. No doubt Sunderland may end up with the displaced 27s from Slatyford.
Also of note is that 27726 is presently tracking on the 22 in Newcastle - potentially displaced by the Yutongs to possible release 37312 for cascade, given it's an oddball at Walkergate and there's Darts that require replacements (or 39s at South Shields).

That's for confirming.
Wonder if they might do:
26x -> Slatyford
277x -> Slatyford
271x/272x -> Sunderland / South Shields
MAN ALX400/E200's/E300's -> Withdrawn
Gas Buses -> Withdrawn
E5 276x/277x/278x/279x -> Withdrawn / South Shields
Then when the electrics turn up at Slatyford they'll displace the E200MMC's to withdraw the remaining 277x E300's which should be the oldest saloons in the fleet by then. Very quick counting, believe those withdrawn vehicles add up to around 80 vehicles which is what's due.

That makes more sense, win win for everyone.
Slatyford still have decent buses as the 277’s from Sunderland we’ve got now are decent albeit older than the 271’s and 272’s and then it means Sunderland can get rid of them awful gas buses.

Yeah exactly and everyone would get slightly newer vehicles aswell so there's no robbing Peter to pay Paul which has been blighting the other 2 North East operators in recent times.
Nothing positive about downgrading routes with vehicles which are inappropoate as an understatement. GNE, in particular, have been really bad for it lately especially at Consett.

i don't think slatyford has had any work done for chargers due to being the oldest depot so even if they receive the electrics they don't seem to have a way to operate them,
so it would make sense that the Sunderland electrics displace gas buses at Sunderland,
the slatyford batch to temporarily operate from either Sunderland or Stockton to get them in service,
if at Sunderland they can withdraw any non CAZ-compliant vehicles to Stockton and any CAZ- compliant vehicles to slatyford allowing the oldest buses at each of those depots to be withdrawn/cascaded to wherever they may be required,
then when Stockton start to receive their own batch the MMCs go to slatyford allowing the older vehicles to cascade within the division to start ousting non compliant vehicles.
hopefully work starts at each of the depots soon if it hasnt already and then each batch can go to where they were originally bidded for

Stockton are due to start receiving their ZEBRA-funded batch anytime soon - so no need to cascade anything south other than to Hartlepool but then I can see their Dart replacements being Stockton’s trio of E200s.
Work is well ongoing at Stockton - having dug up and laid the cables around the edge of the yard before Christmas, they are now in the process of laying them down the middle of the yard in the main parking area, meaning it’s a tight squeeze getting everything parked up on a night - hence the evening boards presently being a hodge-podge of MANs and Deckers rather than the MMCs and E300s as the drivers are currently keeping the same bus all shift instead of taking it back to the depot and then taking a fresh one after their break (Stockton’s allocating has already been tweaked to have the evening work on separate boards bar a small handful as they’re not entirely sure if the Yutongs will have the range to do say a board that leaves the depot at 0545 in the morning and returns at 2346).

Aye that's what I thought originally but it seems that 5 of the vehicles have left Sunderland completely to Newcastle so suggests that's not the plan. Since Stockton is ahead and will be coming into service soon I'm going to guess and say it'll be the 64/65 Enviro 300's now instead with the E200 MMC's displacing the ones out of Slatyford.
Unless they leave the region, there's not really anywhere else they can go.
I have a feeling the E400MMC's which have come up (3 extra) and what appears to be 12 E300's from Sunderland might be the MAN replacement at Slatyford instead now.

Hopefully they’ve had some sense and are getting rid of the MAN E300’s 24’s because they are awful. They did want to keep them as they’re Euro 6 engined but they’ve got too many problems. I’m not bothered what replaces them just want them gone haha.
24115 is sat on the back yard and had parts taken off of it, does anyone know if that one is withdrawn now?
How many of the Sunderland Yutongs are left to arrive?
Is work almost done in the depot, as I haven't been around that way in a while!

Im wondering if they are just loans to help out as 19437/440 are both VOR.
Also noticed West Scotland's 27884 over the pits- possibly another transfer?

I need help for a Flickr description for a new photo if anyone can help. Which Manchester depot(s) was 10485 new to and/or previously at before they came down here?
