I saw it as I walked into the depot yesterday - IIRC the number said 27914.

Aye got a crap photo of it but I'll be getting a better one later on hopefully
There was something on here a while ago about Walkergate getting new buses (11 if I’m not mistaken) but rumour has it they might be getting 18. Unsure how true that is but that will allow some of their older double deckers to head to Slatyford which, I’d guess, would allow the euro 6 24***’s to be sent elsewhere or to be withdrawn since they are 09 plate buses and are starting to age which would allow busier routes such as the expresses to have double deckers allocated. Obviously all rumours and not confirmed so take it with a pinch of salt.
Disruption to services across Sunderland due to 10k and Half Marathon events Sunday 7 May 2023

Due to various road closures associated with the above events, there will be a number of temporary bus service revisions during Sunday 7 May 2023 for one day only for the Sunderland 10K and Sunderland City Half Marathon Events for 2023.

I've heard, again rumors but I think they are still only getting 11 brand new buses, but will receive some cascaded vehicles which are  CAZ compliant (so assuming 2014 and newer examples),

I think this would be a good thing if you could shift some of the single decker's from walkergate that I think are covering for hybrids. i think 8 or 9 would do allowing a cascade of single decks which could hopefully end up supplementing Stockton's fleet.

plus i think slatyford could hopefully gain 5 more double decks  maybe allowing 4 singles to move on as 62/63 services are struggling when allocated singles
I think stagecoach Stockton should get new buses next year to replace old buses want come from Newcastle depots or good second hand buses.
Not sure why but the all of the 271’s and majority of the 272’s are not tracking today. Seems the tracking went a bit dodgy last night with some of Slatyford’s 272’s tracking as Sunderland services

the thing is glen, Stockton get looked after, Newcastle and Sunderland is where the profit is made and where services are run hardest, if you look back Newcastle barely got any of the newer vehicles because the engineering staff managed to keep older vehicles on the road,

a few examples

the 09 E300s went to Stockton brand new i believe,
the 2011 E300s went to shields(I believe, please correct if wrong?)

obviously the 2013/2014 gas buses went to Sunderland which displaced a handful of T reg ALX300s from Sunderland and the 04 ALX300s came to slatyford displacing more T reg ALX300s (T47-BNL batch if i remember correctly, i hope so as I finished the preparation for transfer) to Stockton

the 2014 E300s went to Stockton from what i remember displacing the worst of the T/V reg ALX300 MK1s to Lincolnshire.

the 2015 E300s went to Stockton and helped displace the remainder of MK1 ALX300s within the SNE fleet, the early 220xx batch of ALX300s came up to Newcastle and i think that was when 22480 and the last 2 V reg (22673,22675 if i remember right) got disposed of

at some point the 5 2008 E300s from Scotland turned up as replacements for the 2005 E300s for the 100 metrocenter service which were absolutely knackered and took a lot of time and effort to get into service.

again the (7? am I right?) kinetics turned up to replace some of the early ALX300s and again were trashed.

the 2016 E200 MMCs went to slatyford replacing the kinetics and some early 2003 ALX300s
2019 E200 MMCs went to Stockton and again were replacing early 2003 ALX300s.

if it wasn't for the CAZ Newcastle would still be running the ALXs which i don't mind, there are a few examples showing their age but in the most part they are still decent runners for being nearly 20 years old.

Sunderland is meant to be getting new electric buses at some point to replace some of the gas buses and if Stockton is next in line, the whole cycle would be repeated of Newcastle getting whatever was to hand
Thanks for info mate

Not to mention the fact that there’s the man e200s to replace at several depots and the 2006 pointer darts also. Stockton have had heavy investments over past few years

i think hartlepool are a fan of the darts, from what i remember they are more cost efficient, i think the Scottish E300s are meant to be replacing some of if not all of the remaining  MANviro E200s, but yes the E200s are starting to get on abit now, i think the oldest are either 2008 or 2009 examples, and the youngest are either 2014/2015 examples
All like to see is new buses come stagecoach north east if for Newcastle or Sunderland or south shield or Teesside and hartlepool to
Teesside and newcastle dont need new buses. Hartlepool is in Need of some better buses. Not to mention it is only a small depot so wont cost as much as investing in Newcastle ir something. Maybe they should get some Solo Sr's or something small to dot about

To be fair with the size of the parking area at Hartlepool there is ample space for chargers so it's ripe for a batch of Yutong E10 size electrics. The methodology of their diagrams would ensure fresh vehicles appear for evening turns meaning they could happily do the 1 without fear of running out of juice.
27812 out service 52 at Stockton today
(08 Apr 2023, 1:34 pm)glen wrote [ -> ]27812 out service 52 at Stockton today

It’s not 27812 - it’s actually 22428 using 27812’s baseplate.
Thanks for info mate
Seems like Stockton will paint most Alx300 vehicles in the coming months as 22408 has just gone in for paint… looking promising that they will keep them for a canny few months before thinking of withdrawing them
Really don't see the point in painting them. They're past it - seems a complete waste of money imo and also gives the impression to passengers who are stuck with them that they're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Same with the Darts.
Stockton depot can't keep the alx300 for ever they need to replace them with better second hand buses or new ones
Something somewhere has had a wobble (didn't think it was worth its own thread): 26983, 27157-248, 28008-040, 36081-086 and all of the Dennis Darts have not tracked since 5th April.

This isn't a bustimes thing. Affected gasbuses have "AVL ERROR" on the ticket machine (normally "AVL OK").

recent announcements such as 170 more electric vehicles going to the manchester area next year will produce some cascades that will see off unreliable vehicles
Don't get me wrong alx300 buses have been really good buses I remember when stagecoach transit in got the frist ones in 1999 but now it 2023 there had working buses to me.

be careful what you wish for, Northampton are looking to potentially cascade around ten 2007/2008 E300s when they get new double decker's, i can imagine north east ending up with them, they are probably worse than the ALX300s
