A strong livery with lining out that respected the lines of the bus; what's not to like?
True of all the Busways liveries imo - other than maybe Favourite and Armstrong Galley Buses which always looked a bit shabby to me.

Favourite Services started up by Busways to win contracted bus services in Durham against Trimdon Motor Services (long storey), Favourite Services orange and fawn livery came from the adapted Greater Manchester Buses livery when purchasing the single deckers from them, ashame busways double deckers never gained the favourite livery and ended up with a favourite sticker on the sides.

teessides are the same,
I've noticed Sunderland are frequently dropping the 08:43 23 to Thorney Close so that It can run light to Seaburn to operate a board on the 18 due to the vehicle being delayed on the 802. It then drops back onto the 23 at the Prospect with the decker running light to Gilley Law to pick up the 18.
I think stagecoach North East get left out new buses all the time we get 18 or 20 at a Bush if we are lucky over like Manchester and London and stocland getting new all the time that and there more 20 new buses that I think ? it me mad.

I acnnot remember any deckers ever being in full Favourite livery
Recollection is either as stated previous., sticker over the Busways logo or a black or very dark brown band where the blue, green or maroon bands would have been, but remainder of bus srill in yellow/white

That's rubbish, they just had 2 batches of ADL Enviro 400MMC delivered to Walkergate.
Sunderland are due around 20 Yutong E12 electric buses.
Whilst Newcastle's Megabus base is due a number of double decker Volvo coaches.
I would like see new buses for Stockton and hartlepool depot next year OK I was wrong mate
All gas buses from Sunderland are sill going then?

Ye, apparently they need to pull the gas filling station out before the electric chargers can be installed.
Shame we can't have a mixture of electric and gas buses.
No doubt the gas buses will be temporarily replaced by 2nd hand rubbish........
For the Newcastle X47/X78 etc the newcastle circular routes, where they start at Eldon Square and come back and terminate at Eldon Square, can you stay on for the whole journey or do you have to pay again

You only have to pay again if you get off the bus. If you stay on you can go full circle on a single ticket.

I would say not because on your ticket it would say furthest point as Newbiggin Hall, Kingston Park or Darras Hall

What you do is buy a single to your intended destination, so if you board at Eldon Square and want to get off back at Eldon Square you get a single to Eldon Square! Likewise you can get a single to say Ponteland, stay on for the full route from Eldon Square to Darras Hall and get off at Ponteland on the return journey towards Eldon Square. A single ticket is valid for a single continuous trip, but is only valid on circular routes for one round trip, it wouldn't be valid when the next trip starts.

I'm not sure that would be true mind as if I bought a single from Newcastle to Cowgate Morrisons say on the X47, any stop after Cowgate you've overshot your fare.
Stagecoach's are broken but as you can see with Darlington,
https://bustimes.org/services/4-darlingt...gton/fares - You can't buy fares over the loop point at all.
If it wasn't Stagecoach, you could buy a return though.

For example 38 says Meadway Loop so you have to get off there if you stay on then youre travrlling beyond the validity of the single ticket. I would also imagine the driver would query this too.

Yeah that's my thoughts, otherwise you could just buy tickets for the next stop and then claim you're going back there and get off 'short'.

Technically, as soon as the 38 hits Feetham Avenue, you've overshot the fare, but one could argue well the bus say's Forest Hall, so where in Forest Hall, but Forest Hall is a strange shape cus you enter Meadway at Forest Hall, but end up in Palmersville, the boundries in that area are rather blurred, lived in Forest Hall for 15 years, my mother sometimes got post saying blah blah blah Palmersville, then her postcode, what i mean is the driver could display Forest Hall right upto where the Royal Mail office is over the bridge as thats still Forest Hall, Stagecoach might have the Meadway Estate on its display, but when it was the 55 it just said Forest Hall
Information from a worker at Walkergate
11771 11773 11775 11778 11779 all going to Cheltenham tomorrow and were getting 5 buses in to cover them while there away and then Plus another 6 MMC’s going on Monday

Aye know Forest Hall, can't imagine any of them fining you though for that. I'm curious now whether you could actually buy a ticket to the same bus stop on a loop service, if you were really weird. Similar on the likes of the 53/54 whether you could buy a ticket for the stop before.
As far as I'm aware they don't reset the boards on the ticket machine, so I don't see why if they scrolled all the way down then the fares wouldn't be there.
Obviously absolutely no-one is going to buy them though as it doesn't make sense - at all.

If you buy a £2 ticket on the X47 or X78 from Eldon Square, it says ‘from: Eldon Square’ and ‘to: Eldon Square’. So that probably is correct, although doubt anyone would be doing that haha.

So eleven in total? That's quite a few, given that there's normally only four SCNE vehicles down for the Races.
