At the back of the Wheatsheaf depot?
yeah there on loan to sunderland

Interesting, as it was originally thought, only 9 would come here on loan.

There’s only 9 on loan to Sunderland there’s still 9 at slatyford. Dunno why they’ve said all. Just temporary until our chargers are done.
Does anyone know how long the 9 Yutongs are on loan to Sunderland? I think the 9 they have are 73186-7194

Ahh right, when are they entering service?

I’d imagine Monday as that’s when Slatyford’s are entering service if everything has still gone to plan

Cheers, wonder which service(s) they'll be allocated too?
3 will be on X24 unsure about the rest

That's good, be good to see how well, they do on the route.
Wonder if 2 will go on the 8 or are they too big for the roads of South Hylton.
I do hope we see them on the 23.

Well I’ve heard Slatyfords are on loan until Sunderland get their next batch of Yutongs which I’ve heard is towards the end of this year. Unsure how many they’ve ordered this time but I’d imagine be about the same as the 20 they got first time around.
Are stockton getting more yutongs then?

Didn't know we were getting more, thats came out of no where.

The whole fleet is becoming electric, they don't need anymore on order.
Stockton got 5 on loan 4 yutongs and one EV400 that why.

Yeah I did hear a rumour a while ago about Sunderland getting more, they’re to withdraw the gas buses so whatever services use the gas buses expect them to be electric soon. I only heard it today that they’re getting more but nothing officially announced so not sure if people are lying or not.

Glen, I believe the 4 Yutongs from Scotland will be staying with Stockton I don’t think they’ll be replaced. As for the E400EV I’ve been told that Stockton are getting
THREE Yutong Double Deckers which I have heard could be arriving as early as tomorrow (28/9/25) if not tomorrow sometime next week.

The additional Yutongs for Stockton were to cover TVCA contracts being extended until March. Time will tell whether they are required beyond this point when everything gets retendered then.

Still at least 8 of the parked up at Slatyford this afternoon

73190 still at Slatyford today, though did see 73185/87-89 at the Wheatsheaf earlier this week

I believe 24101-24110 will displace the 277’s at Walkergate to head back to Sunderland to replace some of the gas buses. With someone reporting 10923 at Slatyford from West Scotland I wonder if we can expect the rest of their 67 plate batch, 10918-10932 in the north east to potentially head to Walkergate as I believe 24101-24110 will only be there for a few weeks before heading south somewhere.
Another three of the batch parked up with 10923 at the back of Slatyford today

Apparently including 10922 which I photographed in Ayr on Monday!

There’s 8 on the back yard and 1 down the side of the building so there’s 9 there unless 73176 is still there and we’re waiting on one more being delivered.

If 73190 is still at slatyford then I’m surprised thought they would have kept most of them together like I say would have made sense 73177-73185 at slatyford and then 73186-73194 at Sunderland on loan kept them together.
How many yutongs U11dd double decker are there getting some say one some 2 some 3.

Our OM openly said yesterday that we’re expecting more to cover the Scottish ones - whether true or rubbish remains to be seen
For Slatyford to be able to install chargers they’ve said a cable needs to be installed from a substation near Kenton school on Kenton Lane down to the depot on Slatyford Lane and over the past few weeks Northern Powergrid have dug up the pavement on Kenton lane for some work and now that work is going down Ponteland Road as if to be heading towards Slatyford. I wonder if that could be them doing the work for the chargers at the depot.
Yet all this bother could of been saved if the "new depot" had of gone ahead

Just curious, but which new depot? Don't think Stagecoach ever had plans to replace Slatyford did they?

There were plans to knock the depot down and rebuild it but they decided not to do that. As part of the funding for the EV’s Slatyford are supposed to be putting in a park and ride facility into the depot not sure what’s happening with that. Apparently the roof is going to come off in March but the last time they had that off the neighbours complained about the noise so how they’re getting around it this time I’m not sure.

Aye that's fair, thought something more was planned at some point when someone said that the new depot would've fixed the issues. Obviously whatever depot there would still have power issues which is what confused me.
1 new one in service from Slatyford today plus 5 at Sunderland

2 out at Slatyford - 73179 is also out on 30/31/36 but isn’t tracking on Bus Times. It’s on the working 15 minutes behind 26293.

That's annoying! I just saw 26293!
I can see 7 at Slatyford depot - 183/190/180/182/181 outside and one inside I can't identify, so that's all 9 here for now accounted for
EDIT
The one inside is 178
