Of which 11720, 721 and 722 have visited previously, 11722 last year, and 11720/721 in 2024 when they were, I think, allocated to Hyde Road.

Probably in about 4 years… first paint tends to last about 5 years before needing a respray.
Thank mate

To be fair a few of Stagecoach East Scotland E400EV's that were new last year have already been repainted from "Stagecoach Local" to "Stagecoach We've Got You", 80213/80214 have been done so far.

Hartlepool to go electric with 28 brand new buses
It about time hartlepool got new buses last time hartlepool got new was in 2008 if I am right?

Correct it was the manviro 200s back in March 2008. Hartlepool is expected to get 28 new buses, I think that will mean some diesel’s will stay unless Stagecoach do what they did with Stockton and make up the shortfall from elsewhere. They are not expected until 2028 but despite my views on the Yutongs it is good news regardless if it improves the overall reliability for services in the town.

I see them 2 buses are on the 685 again haha. You got any idea where 26289 is not been out for a good few months. I see 26292 is back out on the roads aswell

Anyone know what happened to 11288 on the west road this morning
Was there anything for Newcastle (Slatyford or Walkergate) in this latest batch of funding or are we being left in the dark due to franchising looming?

According to bustimes Hartlepool currently have 31 buses, the difference of 3 buses I can see being the result of the 59 which I guess will be because there's no guarantee they'd retain the contract when it next comes up for renewal (presumably sometime between now and 2028).

Anything been said about e10s for the 32s?

Nah it’s all gone quiet, which is why I’m confused that there’s no funding for Slatyford at least. Also the plan is to knock down the parking shed at Slatyford depot so again I’m surprised there’s no funding to replace the older noisier vehicles.

Would Newcastle not actually be better off building a brand new super depot for all of the work rather than separate depots.

No EV’s for the 32/32A services was just a rumour unfortunately. Slatyford’s bus parking shed is still due to come down but until they know the major franchising plans there will probably be no major investment at Slatyford or Walkergate for the foreseeable future.
27822 has returned after over a year.

On the 18s....
Notice a complaint on X about the X82 (06:35 ex Eldon Square) being a single decker this morning. Response from Stagecoach that they try and use their larger vehicles on busier services, which is demonstrably nonsense given the constant allocations of the small E200s on peak runs out of town.

As discussed lots on here, the amount of midibuses/saloons at Slatyford is an absolute disgrace given the nature of their work.

Hopefully some deckers will be sent up here off the back of Stagecoach Devon (Torbay) going 100% Electric & East Midlands going Electric at (Hull) in the coming months, you also have Cumbernauld closing next month.

Near enough estimate of 100 vehicles due to be cascaded across the entire group on the above alone.

Liverpool will be starting the first phase of Franchising in St.Helens and Wirral from September this year so no doubt with a lot of New EV's on order/being delivered for Stagecoach from Alexander Dennis and Wrightbus respectively this will release a number of vehicles later in the year for cascade.

Is Stockport depot sorted yet? I’m sure I read somewhere they’ve withdrawn a lot of hybrids and being replaced by 26 plates. Surely once that’s done as well that’ll free up some deckers.

It’s being charged entering the city according to the website

https://vehiclecheck.drive-clean-air-zon...er_details

Probably goes on the 18’s until the deckers return from Cheltenham then sent to Slatyford for the 6/7.

Is 27823 a permanent transfer to Sunderland? It’s back at Walkergate “on loan” for the buses that have gone to Cheltenham and it’s got stickers in the window for Sunderland dayrider and megarider.

No, it's not expected to be sorted until 2028 now. The 170 Volvo BZL's that were ordered for Stagecoach BEE Network Ops have been redirected to other Bee Network Ops, I believe some of the vehicles ended up with Metroline.

Be very surprised if anything comes from them. The South West and East Midlands fleet are like heritage fleets, especially the East Midlands who still have an ex Newcastle E400's in service.

I'd imagine they'll be used within their own areas. The Cumbernauld ones who knows.

Ah right that’s a shame. You know when our electrics from South Shields are coming back to Slatyford. Also what’s going on with 10650 just parked out the back?

From Sunderland and not sure probably once the chargers are up and running. Still a while before that by the looks of it. Also 73191-73194 went to rugby which were meant for Slatyford so not sure if we’ll get some brand new ones or them ones back.

10650 looks to have some panels redone so might just be waiting to go for repaint.

Ah right. Just have to wait and see then. I see the 685s are back to the 262s I wish they would but double deckers on there. They are always full

According to drivers that do them they’re busy from Carlisle to around about Brampton then very quiet until Throckley then they get quite a few in Throckley especially if the X82 hasn’t shown up. So the single deckers are manageable on the route.

Admittedly been a while since I used the route but sticks in my mind using it mid Sat morning Newcastle to Carlisle - single deck and not much fun, packed (well, all seats full with standees at the front) across pretty much the full route.  Have been lucky to catch the Carlisle deckers on other journeys and it's a much better experience.

Yeah. It’s really busy at peak times the 10:37 from Hexham there always standing
