According to drivers that do them they’re busy from Carlisle to around about Brampton then very quiet until Throckley then they get quite a few in Throckley especially if the X82 hasn’t shown up. So the single deckers are manageable on the route.

Admittedly been a while since I used the route but sticks in my mind using it mid Sat morning Newcastle to Carlisle - single deck and not much fun, packed (well, all seats full with standees at the front) across pretty much the full route.  Have been lucky to catch the Carlisle deckers on other journeys and it's a much better experience.

10650 looks to have some panels redone so might just be waiting to go for repaint.

Anyone know where 26063 is?
There's a 26 on the pits at Sunderland, unsure of its identity.

It was parked out in Stockton yard on Friday morning after they’ve rebuilt it.

Interesting didn’t think it would ever be seen again. Guessing it’ll go for MOT and another repaint and Sunderland before going back to Slatyford.

If it comes back to Slatyford lol. Interesting to see 19386 back out waiting for service now at the front of the depot

Yeah sat there all day. It was on the front of one of the bays but doesn’t have a ticket machine on currently

Not sure I just got told by a Stagecoach driver who works at Stockton
why is 73103 taking so long to come back on the road it over a months it last on the road on teesside? I am sorry if before.

Christ if only there was 65 more of them…. Oh wait there is. You’re going on about it like it’s the only one Stockton have. Like the person told you the last time it’s waiting for the police to release it from their investigations then it’ll go to be repaired. It can take time. 27822 only came back out the other day and that crashed in February 2025 over a year ago.
Anyone know if the scania gas buses at wheatsheaf depot have finally been scrapped?

Bustimes are reporting them as 28009 last tracked on the 24th February, with both 28013 and 28015 last tracked on the 25th February?

Sad to see them go.

I think they've been withdrawn. 009 is round the back, assume the other two are too. Might be being kept as an absolute last resort but they were pretty desparate this morning and none got sent out.

Bus on bus RTC

73103 has returned to Stockton with a new front end today

26290 is tracking on 58’s but it is most certainly 80000
Bustimes tracking at its best today.

10633 from Newcastle to somewhere between Moscow and Georgia. Then shortly after over United Arab Emirates and stopping halfway across ocean

Must have ran out of fuel with that trip.

Poor old Mrs Smith who only wanted to nip to Boldon Asda for milk and bread
Noted 27245 now has working audio and visual announcements this evening on the X20/30.

"X20 service to Fellgate and Boldon" & then typically announced each stop alike on the newer examples that already have NSAs on-board...
10637 been repainted into blue. Hopefully back in service soon.

Slatyford have them installed on all buses now but haven’t switched them on (bar a few) all the 10***’s and the 26***’s and the 373**’s (anything 2016 and newer) should have been switched on in October but they never bothered. So in theory they’re breaking the law as the NSA’s were a new law to help people with disabilities travel easier on public transport. The rest (older buses) should be switched on later this year.
Anyone know what Walkergate are doing with 19442? Been on the 18’s for months as it gets fined entering the city and now they don’t have them it can’t go on anything in Newcastle.
19680 back in hartlepool!
(24 Mar 2026, 2:21 pm)Nick2006 wrote [ -> ]19680 back in hartlepool!

For how long though?
Not sure but personally but my thoughts are it's either here till it can find a home elsewhere or it has came back permanently from a long term loan from Sunderland as most of there deckers have recently come back in service from being VOR for a while
