Yes correct it is

Yeah it makes no sense. Slatyford have a lot of 106**’s and the 260**s still in Beachball plus all of the ex Stockton 262**’s. Walkergate got all the 39/40 MMC’s as well, surely some of them should be going in for repaint not the buses in local.

to be fair to SNE, alot of the stuff delivered in the 2016 and 2019 batches of beachball still look in good nick, some look practically brand new still,

where as some of the older stuff that got put into the local looks absoloutely terrible. i know when i worked at slatyford the managers had a rolling programme of regular repaints but if something looked decent it would sometimes be skipped for something that was a lot worse.
Unrelated ,but quick question, idk if I’ve asked this before however ill ask again incase I haven’t,when are slatyford going to activate their NSA’s.e400mmcs and e200mmcs have had them longest and still aren’t activated or 1 or 2 of them are activated but the volume is 0,and god knows what’s gonna happen with the e200s and the e300s lmao.I know that walkergate vehicles are getting theirs done quick,eg the e40d’s have got their NSA’s fitted and activated at a much faster rate than slatyford’s.If anyone can answer pls do
27726 is now at Slatyford for the 6/7 due to issues with the CAZ. At what point does this get ridiculous? Buses that can’t go into the city; 27725, 27726, 27731, 27823, 36470, 36476, (37301, 37313) when they’ve had their new engines. 19386 gone to Sunderland for same issues. That’s 6 buses 8 once them 2 come back with only 5 boards on 6/7. 27723 keeps being put on the 6/7 too even though I believe the issues have been resolved.

What I don’t understand is why 27727 went to South Shields, surely send them one of them buses and take 27727 back.
Have they started to rip the gas refuelling station out at the Sunderland depot yet?

Haven't been down that way in a while.

No, they're busy redoing the chargers. They have disconnected the gas pump though.
The U11dd double decker that stockton depot got now they are getting 2 one well it but long then they have got now if that right?

To be honest ive not heard anything yet, but im sure the 62/63 services are up for new buses soon, its normally every ten years,

With the capacity issues at times it would make sense for newer deckers to replace some of the none CAZ compliant vehicles,

 2 birds one stone scenario

Cheers for the reply.

Hopefully when the chargers are done, they'll have no more problems.

I wouldn’t put money on the 62/63 getting new buses. Can’t see Stagecoach buying anything new until the franchising is sorted now. Or at least until Stagecoach know they won’t have a Manchester scenario again (losing a depot).

I thought the nexus franchising was on hold, plus they cant hold out forever, 62/63 is an intense route and running decade old buses day in day out on that dosnt end well, they can always just move buses around if the franchising didn't go there way

I don’t know where you got that from. It’s continuing to go through all the various stages as per the relevant legislation.

You’re about 10 years too late for nexus franchising to be on hold.
Question why 83000 been off 1 May is it work on it?

It has been upseated to meet the spec for the 5197 school service. It is awaiting re-certification work before it can re-enter service

73058 working out of Stockton today. A software update done by pelican on the chargers in the depot caused major issues overnight.
Thank for mate
Anyone able to cast light on why 26003 is at Sunderland?

You mean 28003?

No 26003 is at Sunderland
I've found out, apparently it needed major work and Cumbria has an engineering backlog.
Hartlepool NSAs are finally starting to work at least on a few buses.

Yes, it was on the 12.33 from Vic Road to Headland today. Walked to town during lunch break and bus back home.

Ok I was a little bit behind on the situation, have searched and found this articlehttps://www.route-one.net/news/north-east-england-bus-franchising-to-move-to-audit-of-assessment/

The decision to move ahead is due next year and the first journeys are likely to happen in 2029, so your telling me that stagecoach is unlikely to upgrade its flagship before this, the majority of the buses being around 13 years old at that point

Stagecoach are unlikely to invest in the fleet in the Slatyford and Walkergate depots until they have a clear understanding from the NECA which way the franchising will be going and they’re guaranteed to be keeping both depots. If that’s before 2029 great if not then the old run down buses will stay in service unless the NECA want to invest in the fleet themselves.

It’s the same with the ticket machines, Stagecoach won’t buy new machines until the NECA tell every operator what machines they want the buses to use.
10000 at south shields

surely though if they invest now it will look better on them, and if franchising doesn't go the way that suits them they could do a swap with cumbria just like what was happening with the manchester vehicles
