Stagecoach South are always blessed with new vehicles and can’t imagine given their routes they make as much profit as North East! Some vehicles newer than the oldest at Slatyford are withdrawn or driver trainers.

totally agree, i occasionally work in Portsmouth, Winchester and Guildford and there's double decker's which travel most of their route with a handful of people. the DTs that were down there which i think have since moved after being replaced by newer vehicles were 08 plate E300s

Its a MAN E200 tracking as 27740

I thought 27740 was Shields based now?
39727 was in Newcastle recently so could be this one if it's a MAN mistracking.

the 69 springs to mind and 37/38 Portsmouth route to Alton. Those 08 plates were from the 23 originally. Not to mention how many new batches the 700 has had

Stagecoach seem to be giving it a good run.
I always use the X24 (even more so when the metro was off for months) and it carries full loads (on deckers) at peak times however no more than 10 people per bus during the day (on singles)

Is there any route at Walkergate which has a PVR of 11?

The 38 is a PVR of 10.
The 38 hasn't had investment for ages either and is usually a route which gets it (last was the 60 plates I believe) and would supplement the other MMC's on the 39/40 along West Road.

yes the 700 in particular i recall 12 plate, 64 plate scanias, MMCs of either 2018/2019 registration in branding and getting used on everything from 700 to rail replacements, still they beat the old Olympians that were branded as south western trains, that had dedicated luggage racks

All of the ALX300’s and older E300s are being used without any issues bar 22889 which broke down today. 24116,117&123 are currently off the road, 24116 has the whole front end missing off it and sat at the back of Slatyford’s yard unsure if that’ll ever see service again. Not sure about 24121 as it doesn’t track.
Council have given operators a generous time allowance if they can prove they are replacing E4/5 with E6 buses. Drivers cant be found to do transfers when services still get cancelled due to lack of drivers. A more sensible approach at the moment would be to use the Wheatsheaf as a mid point, for example, Stockton driver brings say 27246 up for repaint, takes 22887 back, 27244 also needs paint as does 22889.

27246 is the only remaining example at Stockton in swoops and Dots branding. 27244 was repainted a few weeks ago. The other examples that require repaint have already moved to Slatyford - 27249/54.

Should be thinking about doing it on a Sunday, pay drivers who are off and willing to do it overtime probably all get done on one day. They’ll all get transferred eventually maybe by the end of the month depends on how long the council have actually given them.

There does seem to be more non-compliant buses still operating than the 11 new buses supposedly on order. Presumably there must be Euro 6 cascades on the cards following new deliveries to other opcos, which the council are allowing them to take into account?

The 11 plate Enviro 300's from Sunderland maybe displaced from the electric order? Depending how long it takes. They're all Euro 6.

I can't see it personally. It's a complete invalid excuse. They've had 24 months at least to move them - I'd be fining them personally.

Most likely. Remember there was the rumour that they'd be going up soon™ and we'd get Newcastle's 2200s as a stopgap until the leccies come.

there used to be an abundance of back office staff and engineering staff who could help out if they short of drivers to do transfer runs when i worked at SNE, i wonder what happened to reduce the numbers of staff so badly
Does anyone know anything about these? According to the people who have done it on bustimes they’ve been transferred to North East, any ideas what depot/why these are over here?

It'd certainly make sense but obviously they'd have to get the order confirmed properly for Sunderland and agreed with South Tyneside since they were done by them. Remember them being quite harsh with GNE hence the Omnicity's staying on the 5/50 for years beyond they should be.
Seems the most logical move imo and if the post above is true, that might be some of the temporary buses heading there. Mind I feel sorry for Sunderland if true as they're sheds, completely wrecked from going up the A9 to Dingwall etc every day.

Perhaps if it did happen, the 2200s would go on the town routes with the Ecos recieving a full gasbus allocation. Do STC impose penalties or get mad when a 3600 or 3900 makes its way onto them?

Aye possibly, not sure how the penalties work. I think it's just they can't move the bus from the depot without a newer replacement.
Maybe they might have a clause, we've got new electric buses coming, can we do this until then to help us out. If I was the council I'd agree personally, electric buses would be a massive coup for them vs some 12 year old Diesel buses. It's not as if they're much older tbh.

That Wheatsheaf? Don't recognise the depot well.
I thought Newcastle getting Stockton 300 64,65 reg so metbe going Stockton depot to replace them.
I had a look on
http://www.uk-buses.co.uk/fleetlists/stagecoach.php and entered Slatyford. This site shows the Euro status.
I also entered a few registrations into the gov site for checking the emissions zones.
27250 SN65OCL ADL E300 is Euro 5 and incurs nil penalty charge so ok for all UK low emission zones. This is a regular on 685.
Check 24121 MAN E300 ex Carlisle is Euro 6 and incurs a penalty charge.
Checked a 58 reg E400 euro 5 and nil charge yet a 57 E400 euro 5 incurs a penalty charge.
Maybe some if the euro data on ukbuses is not up-to-date and maybe the DVLA has not caught up with 24121 being re- engined to euro 6.
So maybe not simply a case of all buses must be euro 6.

That's wrong I believe, none of the ex Carlisle ones are Euro 6. Seems just someone has gone down and changed them and got confused where the original NE examples end (24115).
The only exception is they're getting replaced soon or getting upgraded soon which GNE are using. Believe Arriva are the only ones where everything going in is actually Euro 6 currently.
