It's now peeing down in Edinburgh.

It's been really bad these past few days. Even Blackpool was horrendous this week. I've managed to avoid rain so far like, apart from the storm as I came across the Pennines!

One of the lads in the office was away for the weekend to the Lakes with his other half - climbing mountains - and he was telling me he had to pack it in half way through or something because they couldn't see a thing and the wind was so strong it was quite dangerous.

Not my cup of tea!
Was going to go for the Metro Replacements today but the end around 1230 so it's a waste of time now. Will just go out for a few photos elsewhere.

Likewise, but had plenty of photos to upload from yesterday - so just patiently waiting for 19:30 to come so I can go out for some photos of the buses on diversion in Sunderland due to the closure of the Wearmouth Bridge.

Can see that bus enthusiast/driver from On The Yorkshire Buses next to the RouteMaster, can't remember his name - it's either Ron or Rod?

Shame they no longer have it for him to drive! Looks like he struck lucky when he waited 30 years to drive it and drove it just 1 year before it left the fleet. At least he can have fun in that Lodekka they got to replace it!

As an answer to the question (i know you didnt ask it), possibly. I know the plans are to go down for it now we dont have a dog anymore. So much freedom but the house just doesnt feel right without it. Undecided

When you lose a dog for whatever reason it does leave a hole in your life, looking after them is like looking after a little furry/hairy child that you love [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Just doesnt feel right like not doing the things that you used to like standing outside shops with the dog whilst who i was with go in. I will get used to it eventually. It will take a bit of time but hopefully it will clear up.

Never thought I'd get to ride one, was so happy to see it pull into the Haymarket at lunchtime, so I abandoned the original plan for the afternoon to catch it up at Ashington back to Newcastle.

Sounds like a great trip! Shame you didn't get on a B10M though, my main aim for when I go over the weekend.
The 77 is a beautiful route though. Out of interest, what was the other working on the 78, it seems to be a Olympian recentley.

Also, are the still doing the £4 child explorer?

The allocation for the 78 (yesterday) was 2 ALX 400 open tops with fleet numbers 17217 & 17277 and an Olympian in standard Stagecoach livery it was on an S prefix number plate but I did not get the fleet number.
They are still doing The North West Explorer ticket which is what I used purchasing it from the driver on the Arriva 85 in Newcastle. The price of the North West Explorer this year is £10.50 adult and £7.50 child.
