Any idea if these changes will still go ahead?, if so, when will they take place?

As per my post on the Coatham Coaches thread, it looks like they've won a load of work at Prior Pursglove.
Changes and movements ahead with the Stockton E400's perhaps?

There was a suggestion that Sunderland would operate the Durham school run eventually but it hasn't happened. With no other need for double decks at Stockton I wonder if this may now transfer.

Hopefully 3 go to Sunderland for the X24 to replace the Omnilinks.

I think Stockton double deckers should stay at Stockton to replace the remaining mans sIngle deckers at Stockton.
17 Jun 2020, 2:59 pm
It would be nice to see Stockton keep most of the deckers for work on the 36/37/38 which would allow more MAN's to be replaced. However I doubt this will happen.

I doubt it too when they've not long bought brand new E200MMCs with all the bells and whistles on 'em, for the 36/37/38!

Doesn't stop the older Enviro 300 models making an appearance on more than a few boards, before covid I'd say 75% of my journeys when 200mmc with 25% 300s.

Will the 30/X20 be transferring to South Shields later this year? Also is there any planned orders for the North East next year to replace the remaining ALX300s, aswell as some of the MAN200s which are now 12 years in service?

Any chance the 30/X20 will still move back to South Shields as originally planned? I have observed on several occasions passengers quite dissatisfied when drivers changeover at Cleadon Village.
Also with service 30/X20 regularly operating late, would it not be a wise idea to somehow interwork these services with the 12 which currently gets a 12 minute layover at the Interchange. One for the suggestions thread is to have the X20/30 do each route as a circular (South Shields - Boldon - Fellgate - South Shields) with one bus per hour doing clockwise, the other anti-clockwise. This wouldn't increase the PVR, and would offer 2 buses per hour between South Shields and Boldon, and interworking with service 12 will offer the benefit of reducing delays...

Maybe the X20 could be withdrawn and replaced with a new service 31 doing the above suggested route - the 30 going clockwise and the 31 anticlockwise, or visa versa.
I noticed service 12 yesterday exiting the interchange to the right, up Fowler Street then back into the interchange onto the stand after the 12 minute layover.

I just posted my suggestion for the service, similar to your suggested 31 service.

Wonder if the Sunderland changes will go in to effect then too, as i can't see them putting some services back to every 10 minutes.
