30 and X20 have proven difficult to run from Sunderland. They'll be interworking with the town network.

wonder what the route change is with the 3
Not sure what the route change is to the 3 but hopefully dropping the Gilley Law section to stream line the service so its just Hylton Castle to Farringdon - every 12 minutes.

I m new here but thought I would chip in. The 23 goes via Thornholme Rd. Maybe the 3 will replace 23 on this part of route , meaning the 22 and 4 use Durham Rd and Eden Vale??

Nope, won't find out full changes until they're online.
Route Suggestions South Shields & Newcastle:

1: This service will be withdrawn between Cobalt and Coach Lane. This service will be replaced by service X21.

10/11: These services will be reduced to hourly, with journeys to Cobalt withdrawn.

22: This service will be reduced to operate every 12 minutes.

22X: This service will be withdrawn, and replaced by service X22.

X20: This service will additionaly serve Low Simonside estate on Evenings & Sundays to offer residents more direct links to and from South Shields.

X21: This new service will create brand new direct links between South Shields and Killingworth via Jarrow, Cobalt, Four Lane Ends and Quorum. This service will also call into Low Simonside estate to offer direct links to areas North of the Tyne, or South Shields.

This service will operate hourly between 07:00 and 19:00 Monday to Saturday.

Route Map: South Shields - Chichester - Tyne Dock - Low Simonside - Primrose - Jarrow - Tyne Tunnel - Silverlink - Cobalt - Benton Asda - Four Lane Ends - Quorum - Killingworth.

X22: This new service will see service 22X & X82 merged together to form one long route. Then will extend to Northumberland Park, and onwards to Whitley Bay via Monkseaton. Operating via Monkseaton will open up new direct express links to Cobalt, Newcastle and Throckley.

More information from a friend on the new Sunderland PVR's:

3 drops from 9 PVR to 7 PVR
16 drops from 10 PVR to 8 PVR

Other changes:

New service 4: 7 PVR, a drop from 10 PVR (every 12 minutes)
New service 22: 7 PVR a drop from 8 PVR (every 12 minutes)

Apparently 8 buses saved with the new PVR's:

3 Euro 6 Gas buses to replace the Omnilinks

I would imagine 3 will replace the MAN Enviro's so they can replace the 3 remaining darts and 2 more MAN's removed from Sunderland.

Withdrawn:

3 Omnilinks
3 Darts
2 Man Enviro's - but moved elsewhere.
The new Sunderland 22 timetable has appeared on the Stagecoach site:

https://tis-kml-stagecoach.s3.amazonaws....MBO022.pdf - PVR 6

Others aren't currently on bit this might indicate, that the rest will follow in the next couple of days, when full changes appear.
The Stagecoach Sunderland planner on the Stagecoach site now goes up to the 5th April, the day of changes, so now its showing the new Sunday times:

4: every 20 minutes - Downhill to Thorney Close - increase from every 30 minutes on the Sunderland to Thorney Close section.
22: every 20 minutes - Dene Estate to Doxford Park - increase from every 30 minutes on the Dene Estate section.

3, 13, 16 all remain every 20 minutes

Looks like Sunderland's PVR will increase on a Sunday now.... fully Gas operated?

New Sunday PVRs: (alongside services not changing, not including the 30 and X20)

3: 4 PVR
4: 4 PVR
10/11: 5 PVR
13: 5 PVR
16: 5 PVR
20: 3 PVR
22: 4 PVR
E1/E2/E6: 9 PVR

= 34

Monday - Saturday timetables should appear tomorrow.

Busways - https://www.stagecoachbus.com/service-up...:05:44:117
Scribbled notes on pdf lol.
But X1 is still running some folk will be pleased
Whereas Arriva say they are reducing services as the schools are off!

So that's the start of the 19 postponed then.
I’m guessing the Sunderland service changes won’t be happening as stagecoach haven’t issued nothing on the website withe a Fortnight to go

They would have to raise the cancellation of change notice via VOSA I think?

You can access the new timetables from the journey planner on the Stagecoach site, if you change the date to a date on the 5th April or after, so i would imagine they'll be going ahead.

Coronavirus is to blame for the delay getting them online no doubt.
Finally found service 18 changes and it is more cuts which will see only the following journeys operate from Gilley Law to Sunderland:
07:09(Weekday only)/09:33/10:33/11:33/12:33/13:33/15:01 (Saturday only). The later journeys are all withdrawn, although will extend to Durham Road Shops and terminate there. The 18A will continue to operate with no changes.

It seems the 16:08/17:22/18:34 journeys from Sunderland all use the same bus with the bus running to Gilley Law then returning to Sunderland Not In Service to start the next journey.
Stagecoach have stated on Twitter that the first X34 on a Monday to Friday at 0608 from Harton Nook to Newcastle will operate on the Saturday timetable.

As the X24/X24A is running normal service they may as well do that with the X34 also. Or was the X34 just missed off the list of services accidentally.

Timetables a right mess but not surprised, they could use a Solo on it, and it'll still not look full.

----------------------------

The 12 and 13 are weird too, Combined route from Doxford Park leaves at these times:

12: 12:18 – 13: 12:30 – 12: 12:42 – 13: 12:54 -  12: 13:06 – 13: 13:30

12 - every 24 minutes and 13 every 24 minutes - combined of a 12 frequency.

----------------------------

3 - looks like all journeys will go to Farringdon and Gilley Law - every 12 minutes.

------------

Looking at bustimes, the PVR's seem to be:

NEW PVRs:

3: 8 PVR (drop from 9)
4: 8 PVR (currently 10 on current route)
12/13: 10 PVR (drop from 11)
16: 9 PVR (drop from 10)
22: 8 PVR (Same)

PVR drop by: 5 PVR

Withdrawn:

3 Omnilinks
2 darts

(Once the 2 gas buses return to service)
According to Stagecoach on Twitter the changes on the 5th April aren't going ahead because of the Coronavirus.

Edit:

Hi Michael. With the emerging CovID19 issue, the changes scheduled for 5 April 2020, will now not be going ahead. RS
Wonder if Arriva's will.
