Any idea when these changes will be announced for Stagecoach Sunderland

As said before, it was either before Christmas or the first week in January.

Looks like it's January.
Changes to South Shields services 10 11 and X20 now on stagecoach website. Interesting albeit only ttemporary due to the roadworks en route.
I can only ask why timetable changes " To Improve Reliability " pass Lindisfarne roundabout an hour before the main commotion start's, 4-6 at Linisfarne is a nightmare.

Morning journey's on the 10/10B/11A/11B also start after all the traffic has finished, So it seems pretty pointless in a way.
But atleast I have two extra service serving my house now, Even if its just in one direction.

I've got a feeling Stagecoach will learn the hard way with revising timetables around this area, Like GNE did back in April, And still suffers from serious reliability issues to this day.

But looking on the bright side, Once the roadwork's have ended next summer Stagecoach will hopefully look at rerouting the 11B through our estate, Providing the area with the long lost link to Harton Nook/Horsley Hill and the Seafront that everyone round here lost with the cull of GNE's 89 a few years back, And is desperately needed by some ( Me being one )
Changes to services in Sunderland from Sunday 29 January 2017

Well there's my bus gone, now i have to go via the world just to get to work for 7:30am..........

PVR changes

Service 4 - gone from 11 to 10 PVR
Service 5 - withdrawn: 2 Envio's
Service 8 - gone from 2 to 3 PVR
Service 18/19 gone from 5 PVR to 2

X24 - 3 Omnilinks

Other services remain the same.

Overall PVR is now 71? - would imagine the spares will be Enviro meaning the dart can be withdrawn.
Changes to service X34 from 30th January:
-So as to closer match prevailing levels of customer demand, the timetable of Service X34 is revised, with buses reverting back to running up to every 30 minutes.
-There will also be minor changes to stopping points to assist journey times and help overall bus service reliability

More details can be found here.

Its a shame that the frequency will be reverted back to every 30 minutes. I generally felt that the service was busier due to the increase in frequency, however I did only use the service mainly during peak times. I wonder where the spare 2/3 deckers will go? Probably won't stay at South Shields.

Hope you're not going to get all emotional about it like our friends in Weardale do about the X3, Michael!! [emoji14]

Not the only who has too Ds.

I used to get to the 6:46am 18, now it's withdrawn so i have to get to the 6:20-6:25am 16 bus to Southwick and then walk to Hylton Retail park, just to get to work for 7:30am.

I know at least my main journey time isn't changed so I should be okay on Mondays and Tuesday. Wednesdays and getting home is the main problem for me
Does anyone know what the PVR of the X34 will be

It'll be 4 PVR.

Haven't looked at the times to know if it's possible or not but is it not any easier for you to change to an 8 or 35/36 in the town? I think you've said in the past you get the SmartZone ticket?
(04 Jan 2017, 7:35 pm)Michael wrote [ -> ]It'll be 4 PVR.

So I'm guessing one spare and the other transfers else where

I checked the 8 and i would just miss it. (Don't want to leave any earlier), the 36 doesn't start until 7:41am from the City Centre, during the day it's not as bad but it's a 7:30am start which means i have to re-route my way to work.

Leaving work, i'll be sticking to getting the 8 or 36 to the town and then changing buses.

PVR 3 - as it was before.

3s very tight

How is it? Unless you expect them to have a 35 minute layover in Newcastle! It used to manage on 3 on more-or-less the same timetable.

Well it coped back when 19194,96,97 were allocated to it, If 3 E400s leave to increase capacity in Newcastle, Then a Single Decker will be provided as a replacement for a E400 incase of a breakdown, More likely a E300.

3 buses wouldn't work at peak times and that's when I mainly use it, also the traffic at Bolden can get really bad
(04 Jan 2017, 7:53 pm)Kuyoyo wrote [ -> ]PVR 3 - as it was before.

PVR is 4. 50 minutes each way, with 5 mins layover in Newcastle and 15 mins in Harton Nook.
