It's illegal for bus companies to collaborate on bus routes and Nexus has nothing to do with them as they're commercial so highly doubt it.
It's more probably Stagecoach wanting to dominate the Killingworth, Forest Hall and the Freeman to Newcastle flows, I don't blame them either.

The 16 is horrendous, the 7:44am from Hastings Hill is constantly late sometimes by at least 10 minutes.
That's the one that runs off the X1, and it only gets 8 minutes to get from Doxy to Hastings Hill.

Ah right, no the wonder, its horrendous.
8 mins is a joke

How would it be illegal if say the 352 left Cramlington on the hour and the 37 left at half past the hour? Two different routes that might go slightly different ways to get to Newcastle. Doesn't the 684/685 do something like when leaving Newcastle to maintain the 30 min frequency to Hexham

As Stagecoach shouldn't know the timetable for the 352, it's not in public domain yet (even known it's been leaked).
The 684 is a Northumberland CC contract that's why that one works.

Can operators not see registered timetables? I think I remember them saying.
As for the 37 & 352/353, it looks like the 352 and 353 are going via Fern Drive.
So maybe the 37 will go via Weetslade Road and still maintain a 15 minute frequency with the 352/353 on the Cramlington - Killingworth / Forest Hall section of route
I do wonder if the 37/38/352 could be a future agreement like what they have along the Coast Road

Honestly not sure if I had to be honest.

Can't see it personally, I can see the 352 being withdrawn fast though. There's literally no-one to use it. The vast majority of people in Killingworth will have Stagecoach passes and I'd imagine people in Forest Hall will do the same with them having the 62/63 (whichever one it is). The 38 would be quite a quick route to Newcastle - it'll be interesting to see if the X63 gets dropped in frequency and/or replaced by it with it becoming a peak only service. Most the time I've seen them they're quiet during the day.
There's a timetable change coming for that aswell. I note there's changes for the 57/57A/X7/X8/X9 aswell so be interesting to see if any of them go via Fern Drive. Now they go around the business park picking no-one up the time would be neglible.
Why has 10000 been off the road for quite a while?

This thread is about upcoming service changes.
Does anyone know when this information is going on the Stagecoach Newcastle service changes because I couldn’t find the info anywhere

If I could guess. Probably the same time Arriva & Go North East & Nexus announced there changes. Mainly due to the fact they are all doing major changes and would have to link each other website. Arriva Mainly would have to link Stagecoach changes & Go North East changes to show people. If a guess. They could be announced in a week or 2 from now. If they announced it 2 weeks before the changes come into play that's a bit daft as these are some big changes

Can't see the 355 staying unless GNE are banking on West Farm Avenue to generate revenue?

Or banking on passengers not wanting to be diverted via Freeman Hospital on the 38, a very slow and circuitous route into town compared to the current 55?

From the Freeman the 38 goes along the Coast Road into Newcastle not sure what’s slow about that, understandable to call it slow if they were extending the 1 maybe but not the 38.

Surely most people wanting a quick route would be using Palmersville / Benton / Longbenton Metro stations. I can't imagine many people picking you mainly because of the cost side not to mention they've got the 62/63 (whichever one it is) aswell. I haven't checked real timings but wouldn't be surprised if the 62/63 are quicker aswell since Matthew Bank is a car park at rush hour as an understatement.
The fact it's dropped from Every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes in the past 5 years isn't a sign of a very healthy bus route.

Have you ever had the misfortune of sitting in the traffic congestion at the Freeman Hospital at peak times?
It’s horrendously slow.

Yes, I drive the 6/7, but the 355 will be no better going via Blue House I’d imagine, the X63 gets an extra bus put in for a reason.

Given the current 38 is every 10 mins, will it be 2x37, 2x38 & 2x38A per hour or will it get a uplift to 7/8 mins combined?
Also what will the expected PVR of this service be?

38A is just a morning journey that's about it

2 37s and 4 38s an hour with 2 38s only going to Freeman as now, 38A is just the early morning trips that come from Cowgate/Chapel House.

I must say I don't really get the numbering, surely a 38 (Freeman), 38A (Forest Hall), 38B (Cramlington) would've been less confusing. I would've said 36/37/38 but there's already a 36.

If i were the boss (which im not) this is what i'd do
Current 36- numbered to 32 (since it interworks with the 30/31)
Current 32/32A- numbered to 33/33A
Allowing for your 36/37/38
