More information about the 10/11
Working in partnership with Nexus, all journeys on Services 10 and 11 are revised, and are extended from Jarrow via Tyne Tunnel to North Shields, serving Royal Quays Retail and Leisure on the way.
These through trips will run up to every 30 minutes during the daytime, and hourly during later evening periods (with some additional short-hop trips running between Jarrow and North Shields).
New Services 10 and 11 will provide new regular and direct links to Royal Quays and North Shields from across much of the South Tyneside area, including Marsden, Harton Nook, Whiteleas, Biddick Hall, Simonside, Low Simonside, Hill Park and Jarrow.
As a result of this new link, the experimental peak time trips to Cobalt Park will be withdrawn.
Updated timetables for these services are now availalbe from the journey planner.

And indeed, judging by Bus Times (which for Stagecoach 9/10 is correct - Stagecoach's VIX Ticket Machines have the vehicle details stored in the base plate rather than having to program the machine for the vehicle), 36979 is working the 99/939 today.

That's a shame as I never got to photograph these workings given I work on the Cobalt, to be fair from the journey's I seen there was nobody on them and obviously the pandemic has had an impact on potential passenger due to those working from home.
I do think however in the peaks they could of experimented with an extension of the revised 10/11 from North Shields to the Cobalt, I do wonder if Stagecoach will make such a move extend the services further through to Tynemouth & Whitley Bay and likewise maybe splitting some of the 22's to go into North Shields etc.
Looking at the 10/11 South Shields pdf...are we getting a new Stagecoach North East leaflet design for the first time in two decades?

The new 19 in Sunderland also has this style of PDF. The link is on this page .

I believe this timetable style has been used in cumbria for a little while now.

Changes to Services 18 and 19
From Sunday 5 September 2021, we're making some changes to a couple of services in the Sunderland area.
Service 18: The Monday to Friday morning trip from Southwick Green at 0903 is revised to commence from Seaburn Morrisons at 0852.
Service 19: This special experimental service will be withdrawn after operations on Saturday 4 September, with the conclusion of the 2021 summer season.
We'd like to thank all customers who have used this special service over these summer months, and we hope you managed to get a ride on one of the open-toppers! Don't forget, frequent connections to the coast continue to be available by interchanging with Services E1, E2, E6 or 18 in the City Centre or at the Wheatsheaf.
Wonder if the 19 will return? It seems to of been a success when I've passed odd times
Well it’s certainly won’t be going back to Newcastle as it’s banned. Newcastle will get all the good up to date buses whilst Sunderland is palmed off with the older fleet

Why is it banned? The CAZ wont cover either of the depot areas or the Seasider route?
My error I thought it served Newcastle but it operated north Tyneside didn’t it. I’m thinking of the toon tour
Haven't seen it mentioned on here but there's changes in Newcastle on the 5th September with buses going back along Blackett Street but at the same time the 30/31/36 are going every 20 minutes each and the 1 isn't going back to its normal timetable and is staying on its summer timetable which could be interesting with the students going back.
Guessing they still have driver issues with Covid.

So, will 19440 and 19444 remain at Sunderland for a little longer? They are needed anyway to cover 19642 and 19114 which still appear to be VOR.

Not a clue tbh, was just looking for some timetables to compare something before which is a bit of a nightmare atm as it just links to a dead page and seen about the changes. Possibly though, guessing the single PVR will be down aswell by a few because of the 30/31/36 temporary reduction so don't see why not. I don't know much about Stagecoach they don't serve around here and the last time I used them properly was 2014.

19114 was out last Saturday - just seems it's not tracking on Bus Times as itself.

There is a photo on Flickr taken on Monday of it in Newcastle being secured onto an Alpha Recovery Truck, having once again broke down. Unsure whether it returned to service since then?
19114 is broke. Once agian won’t start I do believe

Not sure, it hasn't appeared on that part of VOSA yet, where it tells you the changes.

Heard strong rumours that a bearded bloke from the North Pole is being roped in to work the NP1 service given current driver shortages. Disagreements over uniform potentially causing issues with the deal, however.

Have heard he been given an 08 plate vehicle which is a bit knocked to work with and he slightly unhappy about that.
