Ye, good move, i think the move to remove it from that part of Grindon was stupid anyway, glad its going back around that way.
Going to be tight though, timetable hasn't been giving any extra time.

That's the only change that I was told

Update on these roadworks:
Return of Holmeside bus stops for Services 5, 8, 10, 11, 16 and 20
From Tuesday 30 August 2016, these services will return to their normal westbound stops along Holmeside, outside the Market, rather than use the temporary bus stops outside Hay’s Travel.
Services 5 and 16 will observe the most westerly of these two stops, and Services 8, 10, 11 and 20 will observe the most easterly of these two stops.
There are no changes to times.

I only seen 27506,09 today along with a alx300 but should be out as Slatyford have prepared it 4 service
I thought the buses 22508'15 were for stockton.

Was prepared for service weeks ago. But no sing of it ever. I use the 100 every day and a kinetic has not been in service.
I think it's pretty clear that NE have looked at the condition of the Kinetic's and have decided not to put them into use.
How does transfers between divisions within the Stagecoach group happen?
Did Stagecoach North East request these kinetic's or were they told of management that they were getting them to replace certain buses?
If buses 22508'15 are in bad condition can't stagecoach north east sand buses the buses stagecoach Yorkshire get money back or can't there do that.
To be fair I think nobody at Stagecoach Yorkshire could believe anyone wanted to take them off their hands...
The fact that the North East is the Kinetic's 3rd home says something really.
It's really odd that the 100 doesn't get new investment as opposed to cast offs really

Surprised there isn't deckers on there
It's not that odd. There are no comparable single deckers on the market in terms of capacity and they can't upgrade to double deckers due to one of the routes having a low bridge. Obviously, the E300s can't keep going forever (maybe 2 years left in them). It will be interesting to see what the powers that be decide to do.

It wouldn't be a total loss to stop using the route with the low bridge. Plenty of alternatives around

Exactly - if they just used Handy Drive etc both ways, deckers would be fine. Most drivers go to Newcastle via Dunston, out onto the A1 and off at the next sliproad onto the bypass thing that follows through onto the Redheugh Bridge yet come back to the Metrocentre via Teams & Handy Drive.

I think it's about the drivers having the option to take the other route, to avoid traffic etc.
What has always been a little hard to believe is that a 46 seat 12.6m E300 would be unacceptable despite the 05-plates only having two more seats. And if capacity is really the reason for lack of investment, why is/was a 43 seat Kinetic being considered?
