Also wonder if the 22 frequency will be reduced as noticed it is getting changed - passenger numbers seem to be very low from Cobalt to Wallsend outside of peak times so wouldn't surprise me to see some buses terminating at Wallsend from Throckley outside of peak times.
When changes were proposed SC were looking into splitting the 22 in the evening, meaning frequency between Wallsend and Silverlink could be reduced, which with the current setup would probably mean every 30 minutes. Wibble after the consultations is a little flackey so time will tell how that's panned out.
PVR down by one on the 18, revised 32/32A would see it go up by 2 or 3. The 1 I'd expect to lose one.

18 won't be going to Wallsend anymore but from next week you'll have the 42 and 42A anyway

No date for that 36/37/38? New reg?!
The service 36 change is very unexpected! I can only think that Fenham residents campaigned hard about the loss of the link to the RVI via the withdrawal of service 15. It does mean that the link to central station is now lost. It's pretty obvious that services 36, 71, 72 & 87 will use the stop vacated by the X47 on Blackett Street. Looks like the proposed re-routing of service 63 via Cowgate has been scrapped.

That junction is a nightmare for buses at the best of times ?

I haven't, didn't check yesterday either.
I'll be the one to spill the beans then.

It is, looks like Stagecoach want to try new routes out, maybe they've decided to try it because the X24 has been sucessful?
More Omnilinks to come?

Not this time. Bit too early to divulge so continue wibbling.

When I first heard the rumour, my thoughts went to Gold.
It needs something 'glam', to attract passengers off the X10. However, it would be a big gamble to have anything too new allocated to the route.

The £3.90 (or whatever it is) day ticket would be good enough for a lot of people, I suspect, regardless of 'glam' !

Don't think it applies outside Tyne and Wear as it is £5.05 to Ponteland I think.

Yup, i think that's why the X24 has been successful.

Wouldn't take much to tempt me off the X10 with its current record mind!
Stagecoach through the Durham Rd corridor is a dream. GNE were at the best during the 221/21 bus war

I imagine quite a few punters off the X10 would be interested, regardless of reliability. I reckon a decent handful off each trip start their journey on a Stagecoach service somewhere down the line.

Can't even get a day ticket for Stockton to Hartlepool for £3.90!
