Cant see anything obvious, except that the 13A appears to have gone from the 13 registration, so either back to two x 13 per hour or hourly 13.
58A is cancelled in the Teesside area too… not too surprising as they barely carry anyone and never have. I’m amazed they’ve lasted this long!
I’ve not heard too many things about what could be coming but I’d be expecting some frequency cuts to remove buses from the network. I’ll be honest I was expecting the 35 to go though!
If the 13 is cut to hourly then maybe it’ll be extended to Coulby all week as per Sunday’s given it’ll have a spare half hour in the round trip?!

But Ben Houchen has went public saying only Arriva are the ones making cuts. Are we suggesting a Tory is not being completely honest within his public statements!?

Fixed it for you.

We all know how well Stagecoach have done out of Houchen's tenders. It will be interesting to see what happens with this service...

He not giving away land at Teesport again is he?

I do wonder what the logic is with the open toppers.  If they are using them on the Es you'd think they'd aim to get them out on sunny weekends but all just sat in the depot yesterday

Same, its decent today, yet not one of them is out.

Wouldn't be surprised if they go, when the changes happen in a few weeks.

------------
I take it: 39716/17/23/26/30/31/32 will all be withdrawn on the 2nd July.

I take it, the first of the gas buses will also go, alongside 28016?

Does anyone know which company has bought them?, apparently most of them have been sold already.

That's just one AM and one PM trip though - the rest of the day, it's dead. Understand the rumour is it will go hourly - as will the 13, which will be extended to the Parkway Centre as well. 57/58 are rumoured to be dropping to a combined 15 minute frequency all day rather than just on afternoons as present (likely to result in an all day interworking pattern with the 52 once again), the 59/61 rumoured to be dropping to every 20 minutes (loadings haven't picked up on that),the 10 and 34 interworking will be dropped due to timekeeping issues (mainly with the 34). The biggest shock of the rumours is the 12 - dropping from every 12 minutes to every 20 minutes.

Any idea of the plans for the 39?
(11 Jun 2023, 2:37 pm)RobinHood wrote [ -> ]Any idea of the plans for the 39?

No idea, did hear talk of it being tweaked somewhat and interworking with something - after all, the 10/34 interworking hasn’t worked and unless you use one of the saved buses to run the 34 standalone (a PVR of 3 which would probably leave it struggling to cover costs), it’s going to have to interwork with something.
Well Hopefully this will make 36/37/38 more requent they are their flagship kind of routes they could make the 36 every 10 minutes

I don't think that is likely to be honest.

In much the same way Arriva are reducing in Tees Valley, rumours are these changes are also reductions, albeit to frequency so probably not as impactful.

Reductions nonetheless.

Well this is absolutely ridiculous changes for the 6/7 as half the time they can struggle to run them every 10 minutes especially if one of them breaks down and it’s quite common to see them run in twos as it is so all this is going to do is make things worse just so they can save on a few buses.

Whats the deal with the 1 and 2 in South Shields now?, has it been withdrawn?, theyre still of Stagecoach's website, but are yet to return if thats the case, they were "temporarily" withdrawn during Covid

1 and 2 in Shields have been on as long as i can remember. Spotted the 2 at the weekend when i was driving out of Biddick Hall on Sunday morning. They are incorporated as part of the 3 and 4 and are always included on their timetable. They havent had their own standalone timetable since late 90s early 00s when they ran all day all week.

We're they the old catch a bus routes?
When will these changes go on the website and will it be for the 2nd of july. Are these changes confirmed or could they still change?

Also were any routes in Teesside (Cleveland Transit) temporarily withdrawn in 2020 that could come back

Live from 23 July, and given they are registered, likely pretty much confirmed.
From Labour for Trindon and Thornley's Facebook page:

Trimdon buse service update:

We have received confirmation that a contract is to be awarded to Stagecoach following open tender to reinstate the hourly service between Hartlepool and Durham via Trimdon. This service will replace the current temporary arrangement between Hartlepool and Kelloe with Gateshead Central and will continue to be numbered 59.

Full timetables for all changes will, in due course, appear on the Council’s transport information pages

Happy to be corrected, but would I be right in saying this is the first time Stagecoach has ventured into the post 1974 Co. Durham? I can't think of anything ever serving it.

No, the X90 between Darlington and Newcastle / MetroCentre certainly Newton Aycliffe, there was the short lived X55 from Stockton/Greatham to Newcastle which stopped at Dalton Park, there's a few scholars contracts nowadays too.

I believe if it’s true about the 59 this would be the first time Stagecoach will have had a service in Durham City.

There are also rumours of streetlites from Sheffield depot moving to Hartlepool although it’s probably unlikely.
