Isn't the Nexus bit just one journey at 06:53 from Wallsend currently run by GCT?

The 553 that Stagecoach have won is the one odd am journey that now fits with the service 18 contract (which Stagecoach have retained), so will presumably be run by a double decker.
Stagecoach will now run evening 54 journeys & all day Sunday
What is the 553

Seems as there is a new route to loftus and that atea as 39663 has ran around the moors and previusly a few others have?

553 is the Wallsend Interchange to Freeman Hospital. Gateshead Central Taxis currently run it but Stagecoach have taken over that run..it's 1 run in thr morning
So are they opening a new rpute round the moors as there is a few stagecoach buses going to Loftus and Saltburn before returning to the doeot such as 39663 today

They won the tender for the East Cleveland services between Loftus & Saltburn. It was due to start at the end of this month but I assumed it would be cancelled now Flex has been extended, but maybe they’re going to run both. Wonder where they’re getting the drivers from if so as they’re dropping mileage all over still!

When are easter changes going to ne realeased? Arriva have released theirs.

sNE do the same every Easter. For example, Sunderland will see a Sunday service on all services on Good Friday/ Easter Sunday and Easter Monday except the E buses, which will see a special bank holiday service.  In Hartlepool, we’ll see  services 1/6/7/36 running a Sunday service on those particular days.
I meant full service changes like the october one

Stagecoach aren't making any easter changes other than taking over the evening 54 and one 553 journey in Newcastle and withdrawing the 64B in Middlesbrough which are hardly worth making a big song and dance about given that they're all contracts for journeys on Arriva services.
Didn't see a point in sharing since it's a small paragraph but here the stagecoach changes are. No timetables changes or owt else. Just the announcements of the 553 & 54

Following Nexus contract changes, we are pleased to announce that Stagecoach will be operating some new Monday to Saturday evening journeys on behalf of Nexus on service 54 between Newcastle and Whitley Bay. Sunday journeys will continue to be operated by Stagecoach as before, but with a few minor changes. The Monday to Saturday daytime service will continue to be provided commercially by Arriva.

Please note that from the same date there will be a change to ticketing arrangements in that Stagecoach own brand tickets (including Megarider, Unirider, U19 and VIP) will regrettably not be valid on this service.

In addition, from the same date we will also be operating a morning journey on service 553 on behalf of Nexus between Wallsend and Freeman Hospital Monday to Friday.
Also the 54 has a slight timetable change. From what I can see the Haymarket-Shiremoor journey in the morning is withdrawn. The 54 will now start at Shiremoor towards Haymarket & Haymarket to Whitley Bay

So how come you can use GNE tickets on the 28/29 when thats a secured service? Is this another one of those where its just due to whats in the contract ( like the 317 no acceptin ferry tickets even though the ferry and the 317 were/are run by nexus?)

Imagine it's because the money is going to Nexus and they'd rather the money was going to them.

Most the route is already covered by other Stagecoach services (6 / 7 / 62) so why bother paying Nexus to accept their tickets on a couple of services.

Believe the 317 is the opposite and Stagecoach take some risk instead. Not sure on the commercial risk with the 28/29 but possibly might be the same.
