Will be a good service if they run it properly and not like the failure that the South Shields Shuttle was.
Only downside is Stagecoach have no other services in those areas so day tickets won't be much use.  Unless further exoension is on the cards.

When will the timetable be up

They normally appear around a month before changes happen.
Another set of roadwork changes at the Northern Gateway:

Northern Gateway works on North Bridge St - southbound bus lane closure from Monday 11 March 2019
07 Mar 2019 to 18 Mar 2019
We have been informed by Sunderland City Council that from Monday 11 March 2019, the southbound bus lane (Wheatsheaf to Dame Dorothy Street) will once again be closed whilst new road markings are installed.  All services will be diverted via Roker Avenue, Church Street North and Dame Dorothy Street before re-joining their regular route on the Wearmouth Bridge.  This diversion will be in place until the work is completed (between 3 And 5 days).

As the main southbound Wheatsheaf stop will be suspended, passengers looking to travel towards/via Sunderland City Centre on services 3, 4, 12, 13, 16 or E2 should use the stops on Roker Avenue (outside the Salvation Army) for their journey.
Passengers travelling on service 23 or 18 towards/via Sunderland should use the stop on Church Street North (opposite Lower Dundas Street) during the closure.
Passengers on service E1 or E6 towards Sunderland should use the stops on either Roker Avenue (outside Henderson’s Butchers – E1) or on Fulwell Road (outside Lidl- E6) as both services will operate non-stop to Sunderland John Street from these points.
Services leaving Sunderland City Centre will operate via their normal routes.

Stagecoach would like to apologise to passengers for any inconvenience these works may cause and thank customers for their patience and understanding.

-------------------

Roadworks are due to be completed in Spring 2019....  we are now in Spring, so more likely the back end of Spring...... can't wait for these roadworks to be over

-----------

Edit:

Northern Gateway works on North Bridge St - s/bound bus stop and highway re-opens from Mon 18 Mar 201907 Mar 2019

We have been informed by Sunderland City Council that from Monday 18 March 2019, the southbound lanes of North Bridge Street will be re-opened to all traffic.  All services will once again serve The Wheatsheaf stop towards Sunderland City Centre until further notice.
Services leaving Sunderland City Centre will operate via their normal routes serving the stops at Dunn House.
Stagecoach would like to apologise to passengers for any inconvenience these works may cause and thank customers for their patience and understanding.

I always find it strange they don't really push services in to the early evening along the fish Quay and ferry landing.
The ferry runs late and there's a few bars and restaurants along there that had the potential to sustain a regular service along with whatever footfall the ferry already has.

I quite agree. It's time there was an evening service to the Fish Quay, which is constantly expanding.
I would also like to add - it would be nice to see the bus service operating every day throughout the year to replace the lost service along the sea front from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay, when GNE withdrew service 1 from that stretch. Perhaps a bit of competition from a bus company which does not operate at the coast might be good for GNE.
Times for the Seasider are now on Traveline.

Nope, still can't find a timetable - can someone post a link?

And does anyone know if tickets like the Day Rover and the Explorer will be accepted, or is it just the £4 hop on hop off and £2.50 single mentioned on the advertising?

Is it not also the date of the opening of South Shields Interchange by any chance?

Could be, have we got an official opening date yet?

Should be good when it opens, i know the old shields metro station, will start to get demolished in Autumn 2019.

Went past it on Friday night and it doesnt look far from completion at all,so 23rd June sounds plausable
I wonder if there is anything else planned for South Shields depot with several services moving to Sunderland Depot?

Also, is the X34 still being moved to Walkergate Depot? It would be nice to have a mixture of E400s on this route.
If its true about the X20/30 I cant see the benefit to run it from Sunderland depot instead of Shields?

Its on CSV sheet from Vosa

I also wonder what the canceled E6 trips will be?

E services were rumoured to be, they're also changing on the 23rdJune.

E services were rumoured to be, they're also changing on the 28th June.

Cancelled E6 journeys will be the morning Shields to Marsden only. Can be replaced with 7/8 if still to exist.
