At present, Go North East operate certain 425/426 workings while JH Coaches of course working the 425/435 and 426/436 cycle (down to London as 425 or 426 and back as 435 or 436, and likewise in the opposite order). Is this new '5 year contract' for the 425/426/435/436 workings presently run by JH Coaches after Yourbus was kicked off National Express work, or is it just a renewal of the present turns GNE have run since National Express took a large chuck of Yourbus' work back from them in late 2013 (anyone notice a pattern there - it's always Yourbus)
Previously when dunn line/veolia/yourbus operated a 426 South Shields-London then 461 (iirc) London-Lichfield and return, which is one of the new routes, it does say on the news article that additional drivers are being recruited internally/externally, so i can only imagine its either the jh coaches work or additional frequency on the 425/426.
Will all the new coaching work still be able to operate from Chester le Street with increase in fleet size?

Should be able to, 9 of the coaches will be replaced so only 4 are new.

I read it as GNE were buying 4 new and 9 secondhand coaches.

Ye, but the 9 coaches will replace older ones in the fleet so they'll only need space for 4 more.
Well that's how i put it as.
Not sure on that though.

All brand new, but don't think the 9 are due for some months yet.

They will be a Nat Exp standard coach - you can only use what they tell you to use with it being on their Network

Are they B9 or the new B8 coaches as used by Oxford on their Nat ex737 service.
Oh look! There are some nice shiny tri-axle Levantes at Chester-le-Street

Closure of High Street West in Gateshead from 4 January
Date: 21 Dec 2015
Gateshead Council is closing High West Street from 4 January until the beginning of April 2016.
Our buses that usually use this street will be diverted via High Street and Jackson Street. To keep the traffic moving, we will have to suspend the bus stops on Jackson Street. Passengers who usually board buses here should use stops at the Interchange.
Services 21 and 28 will call at stops on High Street. Service 29 is being rerouted via Prince Consort Road.
We apologise for any inconvenience these arrangements might cause due to circumstances that are beyond our control.
Is that High Street West or High West Street ?

The one past the Civic Centre
Noticed the signs this afternoon. No idea how the bridal cars will park up in the little layby during the closure! one
