No idea, Dan or Citaro might be to answer Tongue

The Docks to the City Centre section should be hourly - unless GNE have decided to stick with the current 30 minute frequency, that the 5/5A provide at the min, then the City Centre to Silksworth could be every 15 minutes .

If half hourly to the docks.... 33 route endings would be: Docks, City Centre - Docks - City Centre

If hourly.... City Centre - Docks - City Centre - City Centre.

Edit:

Just noticed the 33 will not go Doxford anymore!

those peak runs that use deckers would they be able to go round the docks

I don't see why not.

The peak timings could change - hopefully changes will be online soon, would guess in a few weeks time.

Busways didn't have any problems using double deckers years ago, the route hasn't changed between town and docks

Just noticed, that the 33 will only be Docks to Silksworth - not to Doxford Park.

Starting to wonder if there will be a merger of services along Park Road or a variation that comes along say Villette Road - to integrate the services further.

Not sure, GNE are also changing the 39's route and times, along with a 39A - which i thought could of been the NEXUS funded ones but now it could be a different route to provide lost connections.... not sure though.

Wouldn't mind more cross city services though.

I think the 35/35A/36 changes could have something to do with the new bridge getting built.

There are 38 changes too.
Although that could be just getting rid of the long ones

238 is changing to although the changes are just timings, wonder if that's something to do with the 38 changing?

Wonder if the X36 will be dropped to hourly along the full route?

--------------

No more 2A?, seems to be a mistake, hopefully they don't drop the 2A part of the route... both services are always busy.

Since the 38 not extended to houghton, I would of thought the 2 38s per hour extended to the docks as a 38 and 38A.

I don't think it would work extending the 38 to the docks, the 33 is the best option as they already terminate in the City Centre.

The 38 would have go past Wilkinson's, down Town Moor then the Docks, come back around which adds on time, not sure the 38 passengers would be happy, especially the ones which get off at Holmeside.

Not only that but the 38 extending would create an uneven 20/40 frequency either on the Docks section or have a half hourly 38 with the hourly 238 fitting in between 2 in a 15/15/30 frequency.

Ye, before NEXUS changed the contract and put it out as commercial, the frequency to the docks was going to be hourly, not sure what GNE have got down for it now.

The 33 timetable shouldn't be bad to, if they've stuck to hourly on that section however we don't know the overall frequency of the 33, as the 33A looks to be gone and they are no longer extending it to Doxford.

Run the 35 through silksworth best option and itll match the sunday 35a

The 33 will still be going though to Silksworth.

The 35 or 36 shouldn't change - both of them are working, shame there is a route change coming up.. Hopefully its because of the bridge works or for when High Street West in the City Centre goes both ways....
Just been looking through the new 88/88A Timetable and all that's been changed is extra running time on some services and omitting Jarrow Morrison's before 9AM.

Does anyone know what the allocation will be of the 88/88A? Yes there's the 8 Versa's but what will be allocated to the remaining one board?

Remains as Scania L94 - runs onto misc works, with a contractual requirement of a bus with a minimum capacity of 60.

Thanks Dan, though will it have to be a Non Roof Pod Scania due to the low bridge?

The low bridge is 10'6", so any single-deck vehicle operating on this service must be below this height.
Does anyone know what the new LOOP branding will look like?
